Poured into a snifter.
3.5 A: Black color. One finger of frothy tan head. Retention is about average and a short ring of lacing is left.
4.0 S: Oh yeah, the peppers are in this. Big peppery vegetal nose that works so well. Layers of cocoa powder and milk chocolate. Caramel and roastiness underneath. Just as advertised.
4.0 T: Pepper flavor is the dominant flavor. The heat is minor and mainly manifests as a subtle afterburn. Again lots of chocolate and cocoa powder. Caramel with a light apple fruitiness. Well done.
3.75 M: Medium body. Good moderate carbonation. Lightly creamy with a warming finish.
4.0 D: I really love chile beers. This is a market that needs expanded. This is a good one.

Rating #1483 - 07.03.2015 - Bottle from Sherbrooke - Opaque dark brown/black pour with a bubbly head that fades quickly. Aroma is toasted oak, chocolate, espresso. Mild carbonation, medium-heavy alcohol warmth (could be the heat-heat). Palate is more chocolatey roasty malt, and a fiery chipotle heat. Rip-roaring spicy stout at 9%. Nice. blueshockey24 (607) - Colorado, USA - DEC 23, 2015
Bottle. Pours black with thin head. Aroma is chocolate, cinnamon (cinnamon strudel). Taste is chocolate and cinnamon up front with a peppery heat and cinnamon finish. The heat lingers around a bit. Pretty good. MrW (681) - Mechelen, BELGIUM - DEC 10, 2015
Sample at Leuven Innovation Beer Festival
Poured black with an off white head.
Aroma had cocoa, chocolat, cinnamon.
Taste had gingerbread, apple cinnamon, pepper, milk. Just a bit too much cinnamon in the finish.
Lovely spicyness in the throat.
This beer was a lot of fun! I liked it. YigSvartka (304) - Manitoba, CANADA - DEC 6, 2015
Opaque black hue with a negligibly sized white head. Extremely unique and chaotic aroma with notes of caramel, vanilla, chocolate, spice, cotton candy, nutmeg, and a few others that I cannot ascertain. Mid bodied and creamy. Initial taste is creamy chocolate milk, caramel, and vanilla and the finish consists of roast, jalapeno, nutmeg, and bubblegum. Lingering spice. Wonderfully unique.

Very thin over spiced. Really disappointed though I like spiced stouts. Not horrible but never again. Nische (2240) - Stockholm, SWEDEN - OCT 14, 2015
Tap at Queens Head. Pours deep brown with a off white head. Aroma of cocoa, chili, anise and cinnamon. Flavor packed with chocolate, raisins and spices up front with a lingering light chili burn. SirLimpsalot (4244) - SWEDEN - OCT 5, 2015
@ Stordirren 15-8-29: (backlograting) Ganska tunn vätska. Mycket kryddig doft samt doft av körsbär. Inte riktigt gott. Mycket kanel och chili ... nja alexsdad06 (10436) - West Chester, Ohio, USA - SEP 30, 2015
22 oz bottle shared by Tmoney99. Pours cola brown in color with a small off white head. The aroma and flavor have a base of nice chocolate character with ample spices throughout, peppery spice, Saigon cinnamon adds a different character, sweet vanilla, sweet malts, lighter hints of smoke, interesting enough. Bottle. Poured clear dark brown color with an average frothy tan head that lasted with very good lacing. Aroma was a moderate peppers, chocolate and spice aroma. Medium to full body with a smooth texture and flat carbonation. Medium to heavy complex toasted chocolate malt, peppers and spice flavor and a medium to heavy complex chocolate finish of moderate duration. This is a solid beer.
