Tap at Busters on 28th. Very dark brown pour with reddish highlights. Small clingy head. Rich coffee grounds and sweet chocolate. Yummy. ApisAles (1575) - Greenbelt, Maryland, USA - DEC 15, 2012
Maybe I expect to much from Bew Belgium but this was a pretty run of the mill chocolate coffee stout. Poured a nice dark color witha tan head. Aroma notes were all present, coffee, chocolate, roast, not bitter. Still something felt just a bit flat with this one. umich03jm (3513) - Flat Rock, Michigan, USA - DEC 15, 2012
Pours a very dark brown color with a small beige head that lingers and never completely goes away. Great lacing on the glass. Aroma is fresh coffee grounds, light roast, and sweet milk chocolate. Very nice, smells delicious. Taste is not as great as the aroma but still good. A tad sweeter and more bitter than I expected. Coffee taste is fresh though and the chocolate is really good too. Mouthfeel is pretty thin, would like some more body. Overall, still very good but this could be incredible with a few tweaks. MacBoost (1924) - Victor, New York, USA - DEC 14, 2012
Bottle from Prem1er. Thanks, bro! Pours a thick, cummy black with a frothy tan head. Real heavy on the Starbucks coffee aromas. Some bitter chocolate aromas in there as well. Taste consists of coffee grinds, campfire roasted s’mores complete with the graham cracker. Decent. I don’t know, maybe it’s the last beer that I had that just put me in a shitty mood, but I’m not really into it at this point anymore tonight. This beer is good enough. I was hoping for better, but this’ll do. Roasty coffee, some chocolate, dry finish. It’s pretty good. Pawola22 (3262) - Woodridge, Illinois, USA - DEC 14, 2012
22oz bottle from Binny’s Lincoln Park. Pours a black body with an inch thick, dense and creamy, dark brown head that dissipates slowly and leaves a nice lacing. Aroma is really nice with lots of fresh coffee and cream as well as plenty of rich, milky and dark, bittersweet chocolates. A nice roast backing with some espresso and nuts as well. Flavor is similar. Lots of fresh coffee and cream up front before a big chocolate malt backing comes in. Some bittersweet and milky chocolates with light nuts and hints of vanilla as well as a good amount of roasts. Finishes fairly dry and somewhat bitter with lots of coffees giving off a slight acidity, a good amount of roasts, and plenty of chocolates before leaving a lengthy aftertaste. Medium, soft and smooth body with a creamy, moderate carbonation. Overall, a pretty straightforward, but enjoyable Imperial Coffee Stout. Plenty of rich chocolates, roasts, and fresh coffees in a well balanced, smooth body. Good one.

Bottle. Black pour, tan head, good retention/some lace. Aroma is green coffee, roast, chocolate, green pepper. Taste is big green pepper, green coffee, chocolate, roast. Palate is soft, oily, a bit thin. Doesn’t even compare to Founder’s breakfast stout. thirdeye11 (6162) - Dallas, Texas, USA - DEC 11, 2012
(22oz bomber) deep espresso brown, creamy tan head. Nose of milk chocolate, mild sweet coffee and cream notes, smooth, light honey roasted nuts, fairly rich also. Taste of earthy coffee, lightly bitter/acidic, cocoa powder, cream. Medium thick body, light bittersweet chocolate notes. hootenk (2) - - DEC 11, 2012 does not count
Great color, jet black with a thick creamy head. Bold aroma but lacks in depth of a coffee stout. Creamy but missing just a lil something.
Overall though a solid offering.

Bottle. Poured black with a one-finger tan head with good lacing. Strong coffee and chocolate aromas - definitely surprised that one didn’t dominate the other as is usually the case. Great balance between the chocolate and coffee on the palate with a nice roasted malt profile as well. Medium carbonation and a great finish.
