Serving up cold and jet black, this imperial stout should be taken seriously for about one minute as the dark foam builds. Then, enjoy its velvety chocolate-covered smoothness and delicious aroma of sustainably-grown, locally-roasted coffee.

Big bittersweet chocolate on the nose with fresh coffee grounds and roasted malts, SOme sweetness underneath. Nice nose. Pours black with a lasting tan head and lace. Flavors of big bittersweet chocolate, fresh espresso grounds, roasted dark malts, more chocolate, pleasant sweetness and some alcohol showing through. Smooth with nice body. Delicious.

Black, Nice off-white head. Smells chocolatey, not a huge amount of coffee. Some dark bread toast, as well. Taste is roasty, dark bread, and chocolate. Coffee (finally) emerges as it warms. Not bad.

A - Pours a dark black with a touch of brown mixed in with a finger of frothy chocoalte colored head atop. The head fades at a normal pace leaving behind some nice lacing. S - Aroma is full of roasted chocolate malts and coffee with osme vanilla, black licorice, lactose, and a touch of booze. T - Starts off with a mix of roasted milk chocoalte malts with some black lirocie and vanilla. Through the middle, lots of roasted coffee comes through with some earthy hops, and some molasses. The finish is a mix of roasted coffee and chocoalte with some molassses, black lirorice, and a touch of booze. M - Medium-full bodied with moderate carbonation. Feels smooth with a sweet, roasted, and warming finish. D - Very drinkable. Great balance with good coffee and chocoalte flavors.

Bottle shared by a friend. Darkest brown pour with a thin tan head. Malty aroma with coffee, roast and chocolate. Coffee and malt flavor with some alcohol and chocolate before a roasty finish.

thick black, thin khaki head, that dissipates to lacing. Mocha chocolate aroma, and sort of a sweet cocoa. Flavor profile is very similar to the aroma, and it’s great. Slightly thinner body than I expected. Well worth the $5.99.

Bottle shared by my good friend Waffle, thanks brotha! Many of the Lips of Faith beers have been very tasty and fulfilling but this one was just sort of meh. Don’t get me wrong it was tasty but nothing really wowed me.

Near black pour with a thick khaki had. Great lacing. Aroma is a really nice fresh ground coffee and mocha. Taste is espresso, milk chocolate, and short bread. Subtle hops in there. This is really good.

Bottle pours black, light brown head with fair lacing. Aromas are coffee, hops with subtle chocolate notes and a slight roastyness. Flavors of strong coffee, subtle bitter chocolate notes and malts, faint hoppyness. The Finish; Starts out strong up front, fades quickly in the middle with a pale ale/porter feel. The back carries dry coffee notes.

Pours a nice dark body and a tan head that lasts a decent while and leaves great lacing. Aroma is stronger of coffee but you can easily note the chocolate, light earthy and burnt notes as well. Flavor is initially bittersweet with chocolate, coffee, and toasted malt with a clean and not too acidic coffee finish. Body is dry and medium overall. Carbonation is average. A delicious beverage I will buy another one of right away.

Black with a nice fluffy, though short-lived light brown head that fades to a thick ring and leaves light lace. Somewhat mild aroma of coffee, duh, and light chocolate and vanilla. Coffee dominates the taste, with hints of chocolate and cream. Medium-full bodied. Good, but way too mild and a tad thin to be considered a really good imperial stout.
