New Belgium needs to just brew this beer! It is awesome and leaves you feeling like you just hit a homerun! Pours a dark chocolate and fills the room with coffee aromas! Taste is excellent and is worthy of all craft beer lovers. Lemke10 (996) - Waukesha, Wisconsin, USA - JAN 14, 2014
This pours a very dark brown/black color with a slight brown head. The aroma is very strong with coffee and some malt tones. The taste is heavy with malt flavors and hint of coffee. The taste starts off good but as you drink the bottle, it does get very malty and chalky. A good beer but it could use some improvement. phaleslu (10899) - Cincinnati, Ohio, USA - JAN 2, 2014
22 oz. bottle, and somehow I can’t remember where I got it. Wine and Cheese Place? Somewhere in St. Louis, I think. Anyway, it pours a deep, not opaque brown color with a small beige head. Notes of dark chocolate, nuts, roasted and toasted malts, coffee and cocoa beans. Medium-bodied, with a roasty, dry mouthfeel and moderate carbonation. I don’t see this one getting better than it is now, and actually showed signs of not being at its prime. jkwalking05 (4745) - Arlington, Texas, USA - DEC 31, 2013

Bottle with the boys, pours a dark black pour with a small java head. Nose is predominately fresh strong roasted coffee. Taste is like a cup of fresh joe with sweet chocolate. Alcohol well hidden. Finish is malty with a sweet coffee and chocolate ending. Delicious. Quaff Score 8 / 10

Pours black with a brown head and nice aroma of coffee beans and espresso. Taste is all coffee and espresso, comes through nicely with chocolate and roasted malt with a coffee roast finish. Delicious beer and great for coffee lovers MadRobin (2989) - Silver Spring, Maryland, USA - DEC 8, 2013

Let’s do this. Didn’t see this coming off the LoF series.
Pours black with a fine mocha central dome and rim. Smells of cocoa, milk chocolate, light roasted coffee and some oats. Tastes of coffee, chocolate, some biscuit and fudge brownies, but not sweet. A bit of oatmeal as well. Medium bodied with moderated carb and an off dry, a little too dry finish. This is a lighter take on the triad of coffee, chocolate and stout, and decent. It should be a one off for certain.

Bottle sampled at a tasting. From notes. Loads of coffee and chocolate with very nice roasty notes. One of my favorites. Ferris (17107) - Burnaby, British Columbia, CANADA - OCT 4, 2013
Bottle - Coffee and a bit of chocolate. Jet black with a mocha colored head. Like a mocha flavored coffee. Nice, but a bit one sided. Almost a drink vs. a beer.
