Bottle. Very dark brown color, huge brown head with decent retention. Aroma of chocolate dipped in coffee. Taste is very rich caffe macchiato and bitter cocoa. Very tasty. mcberko (19837) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - NOV 17, 2012
22 oz. bottle, pours black with a thin creamy tan head. Nose gives off exactly what you’d expect from the name: cocoa powder and freshly brewed black coffee, with not much else to speak of. Flavour of bitter cocoa powder, black unsweetened coffee, and some light roast. Actually quite a light body for the style, with considerable bitterness from the coffee and unsweetened cocoa. ABV is not detectable, so combined with the light body, I wouldn’t have guessed this was anywhere close to 10% - maybe 7%. Decent, but underwhelming impie - feels too "safe". Bottle - Coffee and a bit of chocolate. Jet black with a mocha colored head. Like a mocha flavored coffee. Nice, but a bit one sided. Almost a drink vs. a beer. brokensail (16689) - Dublin, California, USA - JAN 3, 2013
Black in color with a tan head. Huge coffee aroma, coffee grounds, roasted malt, and dark chocolate. A little bit of toffee and caramel sweetness, earthy hops, and cocoa powder. Strong coffee flavor to the beer, though a bit more coffee grounds character than expected. Mild bitterness, dark chocolate, roasted malt, and a mild toffee sweetness.

Tap at Closed for Business, Charleston. It pours near black with a medium light tan head. The nose is roasty, freshly ground coffee, caramel, toast, vanilla, fudge, ash and light tobacco. The taste is fresh coffee, roasted malt, toast, bitter cocoa, caramel and earth with a dry, roasty finish. Medium-full body and moderate carbonation. Tasty, well-balanced and damn drinkable. Bomber from the Whole Foods in Davis, CA. Pours very dark brown/black with a creamy tan head. Aromas of smooth chocolate and coffee. Full bodied. Very fresh dark chocolate flavor - almost enough to eclipse the coffee. Some fairly smooth burnt malt beneath those. Finishes dry and flavorful. Ratman197 (15620) - Arvada, Colorado, USA - NOV 30, 2012
Bomber poured a clear dark reddish brown with a lasting tan head. Aromas of coffee, roastiness and bakers cocoa. Palate was medium to full bodied and smooth. Flavors of coffee, roasdtiness and bitter chocolate with a smooth lingering coffee finish. Drake (14332) - Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA - NOV 30, 2012
Bomber from Whole Foods Market Charlottesville. Pours a dark brown color with a large dark brown head. Good head retention. Big chocolate and cocoa notes in the aroma along with mild roastiness and mildly roasted coffee, along with a dusty note. The taste is rich coffee, rich chocolate, some toasted and nutty notes and a moderately bitter hop finish. Medium bodied. A little close too the sweet side but just enough bitterness to balance it. No heat. Quite a tasty beer.
