3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
This beer has a wine like character. It’s cranberry tartness hits first, followed by fall spice and then ends very subtle with oak. Smooth on the palate and sours on the sides of the tongue.
11/25/17. On tap at 5 Points Growlers, Lumpkin, Athens. Orange pour with a small khaki head. Tart aroma, hints of cranberry, funk. Good flavor, tart, funky, sour, cranberry. Doesn't strike me as a pumpkin beer, thankfully. BuckeyeBoy (8861) - Boise, Idaho, USA - MAY 6, 2016
22oz bottle pours out a burnt orange color topped with a small head. nose is a tart pumpkin some berries spice and some wood. Taste is more of the pumpkin spice with a little tartness and a touch of the cranberries. BrewMstr (194) - Pleasant View, Utah, USA - OCT 17, 2015
Bottle - cellar aged for ~3 years. Very nice, slightly sour with a good balance of the pumpkin and cranberries. Clear copper color, white foam highly carbonated. Sour front taste with the malt and fruit finish. Very nice! radiomgb (2686) - Peterborough, Ontario, CANADA - NOV 23, 2014

Excellent, finally a pumpkin beer that I really enjoy. I love the sourness in this. slowrunner77 (13206) - Reno, Nevada, USA - SEP 29, 2014
pours a medium-darker amber/orange. aroma of cranberries, a hint of spice, and a little oak and funk. really well balance flavor and a soft mouthfeel. flavor is pumpkin (as it warms), sweet and tart cranberry, wood, and some barnyard, all in about equal measures. i was hoping for a more straightforward pumpkin beer than this, but what i got was quite good in a different way. a unique tasty brew."

Draft - Sour something, could be pumpkin? Orange and white grape are also there. Cloudy orange with a white head. Sour pumpkin? Berry and oak. Little to lively on the carb but a nice refreshing sour. b3shine (9271) - Indiana, USA - FEB 6, 2014
Draft to tulip at RBWG. Looks good; a hazy orange with thin white head that steadily dissipates into lacing. Smells tart and wild with notes of cranberry. Tastes like it smells with a pleasant mouthfeel. Good beer. blomster (289) - Göteborg, SWEDEN - FEB 6, 2014
On tap at Barley’s, Asheville. Aroma and taste of berries, spices. Not getting alot of pumpkin. Medium bitter, medium sweet. Just ok. harrymel (1551) - Spokane, Washington, USA - DEC 19, 2013
Interesting take from a couple of love birds.
A: pours golden with a finger of ephemeral head which falls to a tortuous sheet of the same and some spotty lace. Near excellent clarity.
S: Interesting. The cranberries are king here and second fiddle is sour lacto smells. No real pumpkin - hooray! Some hints of leather and cinnamon of all things.
T: Tart, cranberries are evident, plenty of woody malts in the back. This is pretty drinkable.
M: Medium bodied with moderate carb. Semi dry finish.
O: Well done experiment IMO.

Bomber aged a little over 2 years. Poured into my New Belgium globe glass. Pours a ruby amber color with a off white head that leaves good lacing. Smells of Cranberry, pumpkin, spices and sour yeast. Tastes of the same thing in the smell with the sour cranberry flavor being the forefront. Mouthfeel is medium with good carbonation and a semi dry finish. A lot more sour than I thought it would be but mellows as it warms and the pumpkin and spices shine through more. Pretty flavorful sour beer. It aged really well i think.
