COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Le Terroir is a French term meaning ‘Of the Earth.’ Used to reference the environmental conditional that affect the brew, we like to think about the terroir of our foeders. These wooden barrels age our sour beer in varying temperatures, humidity and vibrations. The terroir of New Belgium, so to speak. Add in another variable by dry-hopping with peachy, mango-like Amarillo hops, and we created a beer that changes every time we brew it.

Draft at the Quad Alehouse for my birthday. Lots of sour on the nose and the tongue. Acidic and delightful. I got lots of pear and touches of grapefruit. Good stuff.

omhper (25095) - Tyresö, SWEDEN - APR 20, 2016
Keg at Knäppingen, Norrköping, Sweden. Cloudy deep golden, small head. Acetic peach aroma. Sweet and sour with full body and rounded mouthfeel. Intensely acetic and fruity. Peachy, citrusy hops. Lemon juice concentrate. Peppery bitter finish. More bold than refined. Too much juice concentrate.

drpimento (3630) - La Crosse, Wisconsin, USA - APR 18, 2016
I don’t pick up much in the hop department per se, but the rest of it- huge fruity sourness, with a malt backbone is great. Aroma has a bit of perfume that slightly carries over into flavor. Not a session, but pretty good stuff.

ramboraffe (2249) - Göteborg, SWEDEN - APR 18, 2016
On tap at Brewers beer bar, Göteborg. Murky red with off white head. Sour berries, fruit, oak, wood, earthy and stables. Dry beer with a medium sourness that qickly finishes leaving a very dry mouthfeel afterwards.

oldrtybastrd (5002) - Fort Walton Beach, Florida, USA - APR 12, 2016
Pours a golden amber color w/ quick dissipating head. Aromas of vinegar, light fruit, and some barnyard. Tastes like lightly fruity easter egg dye with some horseblanket. Outstanding sour and tart!

ABUSEDGOAT (2757) - California, USA - APR 4, 2016
Orange colored, moderate head, good lace/retention. Aroma is sour cherry, oak, citrus, yeast, light barnyard action. Medium bodied, moderate to low tartness, moderate to low sweetness, hop presence detectable. It’s pretty good but I don’t think the hops are helping the cause.

nazzty (1376) - Ödåkra - Helsingborg, SWEDEN - MAR 29, 2016
Extremely refreshing and it’s pure magic that they managed to keep up alcohol at 7,5%, because there’s absolutely no alcohol taste what so ever. A sour ale crafted into perfection.

3.5
mariuspoenari (2692) - The Hague, NETHERLANDS - MAR 26, 2016
Sampled at a tasting. Hazy orange pour with a thin white head. Smells of brett and citrus hops. The taste is sour, with notes of vinegar and brett. Dry and sour aftertaste.

ciocanelu (2523) - Timisoara, ROMANIA - MAR 23, 2016
Hazy golden color with white head. Aroma is lemony and yeasty. Taste starts sour up-front, dry and lemony with some hops in the background. Light body with high effervescence, very dry. Quite nice, sour, dry but also hoppy in the background.
