this was a little out of my sour range but it was good. poured a darker orange color with white head. on the nose you definitely get that sour tartness, woody and I got orange. the flavor made me pucker it was strong and vibrant to say the least. full flavor or orange, mango peach. sour and tart as much as I ever had. you need to either like this one or not. pivo (2685) - GERMANY - APR 16, 2017
Dainty sour nose, slighty musty. Cloudy gold color. Sharp sour sting hots you right away, like biting a lemon. Yeast in the middle, but Iím not getting much hops (though they add to the overall profile). Bold beer.

On draught at GABF and Falling Rock, GABF 05 weekend. Orange-amber-copper hued beer is lightly hazy, and has a decent amount of white head atop it, that recedes to a thin cover, with some lacing left behind. Aroma of juicy fruits, tart cherries, raspberries and strawberries. Some earthy, moderately dry brown malts in the background and a strong but enjoyable yeastiness. The amarillos really juice this thing up, tons of fruitiness to go with the moderate brett character, though I donít find that nearly as expressive as in say, Ommegeddon or Orval or a lambic. Flavor is just plain wild, fruits, tartness, light caramel and black cherries are coming at me from all angles. Strong and boisterous, itís a real eye opener. As it goes down, itís got a sharp sourness that attacks the throat, somewhat. Is that hops acid, or yeast/barrel character? Anyways, itís got a lot of its character derived from the fruity amarillos and the citric cascades. The flemish sour aspect is relatively tame, but still well-done. Mouthfeel is finely bubbled, but with a good deal of carbonation and a nice and substantial texture, bit slippery on the tongue at times. Medium body, no thinning or anything like that. While I thought I was going to hate American hops mixed with a flemish sour, Iíve gotta say it was just the opposite. Maybe I was just in the mood for a whole slew of aggressive flavors, but anyways, well done. 8/4/8/4/15thedm (6147) - Fort Wayne, Indiana, USA - MAR 30, 2017
Draught at Brendan Behanís, 2/24/17.
Hazy, translucent brass with a small, white head atop.
Lime, lemon, grapefruit and tons of peppery phenols are quickly met by very strong lactic acids. From there you get light biscuit, vanilla and dough with more citrus and lactic acid lingering...
Very, very heavy and overdone on the lactic acidity in the mouth, with way too much citrus clashing with it. Weird astringency on the finish, and almost detergent-like, with no malt sweetness or softness whatsoever. Even the hops are just starkly dry and full of citrus rind. Indistinguishable from a bad, ubiquitous American kettle sour and could only finish 10 ounces with great effort. Man, NB has fallen so far in 10 years...you used to at least be able to count on their Belgian/sour ales to be at least decent-to-good. Iím scared to try new versions of La Folie.....Score is for this recent sample.
This bottled brew from a bottle shop was served at a cool temperature and poured a head of foamy fine to medium sized white colored bubbles that were very long lasting and left behind a strongly carbonated body hazy yellow orange colored body and a thick foamy lacing. The nice aroma was malty and sour. The semi-dry mouth feel was tingly at the start and at the finish with a lingering sour aftertaste. The ok flavor contained notes of sour. A decent one but not one that I would consider drinking again. KansaiBeerLvrs (5096) - Kyoto, JAPAN - MAR 30, 2017

2016 bottle. Pours hazy golden amber into a tulip. Bright white head with excellent retention recedes leaving scant sheets to coat surface. Lactic summer pit fruit aromas. Dy with sweet and sour peach skin and lactic oak upfront turning to a lasting berry seed finish.
