COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Le Terroir is a French term meaning ‘Of the Earth.’ Used to reference the environmental conditional that affect the brew, we like to think about the terroir of our foeders. These wooden barrels age our sour beer in varying temperatures, humidity and vibrations. The terroir of New Belgium, so to speak. Add in another variable by dry-hopping with peachy, mango-like Amarillo hops, and we created a beer that changes every time we brew it.

22oz bomber from Green’s. Cloudy orange pour, nice 1/2 inch enduring head. Delightful nose, all flowers, hops, spice and peaches. Nice lacing as she goes. Pretty damn good. Like a jv de dolle special reserva. We’ll let’s not go crazy. But I’d buy it again.

200517. Taster at GABS in Melbourne. This beer has a woodiness straight from the start and it is great. Tart, sour and bitter and everything that you expect and want from a sour beer is right here. The sourness is carried all the way to the finish - superb beer.

22z bottle. Pours a hazy raw sienna color with two fingers of eggshell foam. Nose is oak forward with soft vanilla, mango, pineapple, citrus and even a hint of sweet watermelon and cherry. Palate follows but has alot more funk and basement must than the nose. Rustic grain, wet wood, muted fruity tutti, orange citrus, earthy peach and mango. Nicely placed vinous acidity linger with a touch of hoppy bitterness.

this was a little out of my sour range but it was good. poured a darker orange color with white head. on the nose you definitely get that sour tartness, woody and I got orange. the flavor made me pucker it was strong and vibrant to say the least. full flavor or orange, mango peach. sour and tart as much as I ever had. you need to either like this one or not.

pivo (2685) - GERMANY - APR 16, 2017
Dainty sour nose, slighty musty. Cloudy gold color. Sharp sour sting hots you right away, like biting a lemon. Yeast in the middle, but I’m not getting much hops (though they add to the overall profile). Bold beer.
