Pours a golden orange with a white lacing. Dense tangerine and heavy citrus notes (orange) with pine. That palate is mildly bitter with a sweetness that avaids being cloying. CanIHave4Beers (4188) - Pouring Bus, Iowa, USA - SEP 4, 2012
On Draught, pours a deep golden color with a good head and nice lacing on the glass.craftycarl21 (2338) - Seattle, Washington, USA - SEP 4, 2012
Gracious this is one aromatic beer, piney and fruity with plenty of melon. It’s smells overly sweet and a little overly alcoholic as well with some odd leafiness. I love it at first, then not so much, then it sort of bounces back, it’s weird but I like a lot of what’s going on in the bouquet of this beer.
The flavor is better, tons of fruity hops, tons of herbaceous flavor. The beer is dank, weird, and flavorful. The bitterness is moderate with a lot of hop flavor, the alcohol is noticeable but not awful and the beer does not taste overly sweet.
One of my favorite Double IPAs in some time.
22 oz. bottle. Pours a pretty orange color with a nicely sized frothy white head. Stunning nose and flavor, with huge simcoe presence of pine bitterness, sap and resin, good bitter white grapefruit, and orange zest. Clean and lean, very low on sweetness which is just awesome. So so good. phaleslu (10325) - Cincinnati, Ohio, USA - SEP 4, 2012
22 oz. bottle. Pours a clear orange-gold with a big off-white head that laces the glass. Aroma of herbal, oily hops, sweet malts, and tangerine citrus. Flavor of caramel malts, sugar, and the same citrusy and herbal hops. Medium-bodied, with an oily, citrusy, malty mouthfeel and moderate carbonation. Really nice DIPA- not surprising, since Alpine is involved. Danyel (1606) - Colorado, USA - SEP 3, 2012
bottle. clear orange, white head. Smells very hoppy, very potent, citrus, piney, sweet spices. Very silky smooth, piney, resin. Wish the taste stayed a bit longer in the mouth. Pretty good.

John’s bottle. Very good IPA though boozy. Smooth mouthffel even though hop forward. Tasty citrus with orange peel. Dark yellow with a big head. Elwood (3336) - Leesburg, Virginia, USA - SEP 3, 2012
Serving: 22 oz. bottle from State Line Liquors. It pours a clear amber color with a nice off white head. The nose is super tropical with lots o’ hops. Tons of sticky tropical and pine notes in the flavor. Straight up IIPA goodness. Reminds me of Two Hearted back in it’s heyday without the sweet body. Fuckin’ nice. crossovert (13078) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - SEP 3, 2012
IT pours a clear apple cider gold with a fizzy white head that leaves dots of lacing but isn’t particularly pretty.
The smell is tropical, a hint of heirloom tomato. Noticeable grain.
The flavor has some sugar cookie elements along with a tangy hoppiness. Tropical, low bitterness. Super super sweet. Boozy.
Not a huge fan.

Pours a clean, golden color with a tall, dense creamy head. Aroma has a strong pine and grapefruit nose. Very tasty, great pine bitterness hits first with some fresh hop leaf bitterness to fill the middle and a modest grapefruit acidity to finish the brew off. Body has a modest amount of mouth feel with a sharp fizzy bite and an overall dryness too it. Overall a very enjoyable brew. Pine was perfect and the mouthfeel of the brew fits the style to a "T". kaser (6314) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - SEP 3, 2012
Orange pour. Draft at sheffields. Sticky white head. Was warm but still good. Not sure if that is on purpose. Floral citrus and fruity taste. Really good.
