Tasting at Bruce’s pad. Cloudy gold beer, little pale cream coloured head. Light palate, airy and softish. Fine carbonation. Interesting flavour - really not tart! Sweetish lychee and a super mild sourness. Mild creamy malt. Perfectly judged pinch of cinnamon. Finishes soft and dry. Very interesting flavour combo. But not tart!

Leighton (21299) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - AUG 22, 2012
Bottle at the Funky 8, Brooklyn, NYC. Pours hazy gold with a sturdy, white foam head. Fruity sourness starts in the nose. Medium sweet flavor, well and sour, with a nice lychee character. Medium bodied with lively carbonation. Lingering sour notes to finish, light dryness, soft lychess. A pretty nicely balanced sour beer, and the lychee adds some pleasant fruitiness.

Draught at St. Augustine’s, Vancouver
Cloudy blond color. Light tropical aroma, mild tartness, a bit of citrus fruitiness. I would have expected more lychee; a bit moldy, funky in the final.
Pleasant fruity(-ish) sour.

Sampled on tap at PIB, pours a cloudy yellowish orange with a small white head. Aroma is quite tart, with the lychee quite upfront and not much else. Flavour of pungent lychee, very tart and puckering, slightly peppery. Thin body, as expected with the fruit used. Not my favourite style or favourite fruit. Decent attempt.
