COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This wild Colorado version of the Belgian Dubbel ropes you in with clove and dark fruit aromas. Deeply rich and malty, every sip has a creamy texture true to Belgian tradition before it rides off with hints of black pepper and cinnamon from the addition of shisandra berries.

Draught. Pours a mostly clear dark brown color with very little head on there. Nose is slightly sweet and a bit fruity. Taste is quite light and slightly sweet with subtle date notes to it.

Sweet aroma with touch of candy sugar. Pour dark brown with very light tan head. Flavor is Belgian yeast, malt, and slightly medicinal. If I brewed I myself I would be afraid I did something wrong. Just off funky taste. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

DocLock (10721) - Lower Pottsgrove, Pennsylvania, USA - AUG 7, 2014
Bomber from State Line. Pours hazy chestnut with 1-finger frothy tan head. Nose is big tart fruit, red wine grapes, berries, malt. Tastes earthy and vienna malty, rich and smooth, with notes of berries, nuts, and brown sugar, and even some late notes of oak. Very complex and silky smooth. Not real tart though, and thus more tame than I’d like.

tmoreau (4424) - Lombard, Illinois, USA - JUL 17, 2014
Shared bomber, poured to snifters, showing a cloudy, brown tone, with some amber highlighting, a bubbly, off white layer that reduced rapidly to a ring & film, and left some dots & dashes of lacing behind. The nose was yeasty funk, some spice, and fruit that combined the essence of dark, and pit fruit. Medium bodied, with some malty creaminess to the mouthfeel, the spices were particularized more as cinnamon & clove, as the taste expressed kind of a fruity lozenge nature to the tongue, with noted presence, but hidden alcohol effect. A flavorful, fairly interesting Dubbel.
