A delicate 2" head fades away over a hazed sunny yellow body, mellow earthy funk balanced by ginger and citrusy lemon and guava yogurt on a medium-light body with pleasant carbonation, juicy citrus residuals, lightly dry and tart blutt59 (6579) - Dallas, Texas, USA - JAN 17, 2014
on tap at WF, cloudy golden pour with soft white head, aroma and flavor is lightly sweet lemony citrus, not strange or too floral , very nice beer if they could knock down the ABV a bit wabahoye (37) - Littleton, Colorado, USA - JAN 16, 2014
A bit of a unique flavor that one will like or not. I found it a bit astringent and grassy. Got a little cardboard... The 8% abv was well hidden. Well made, of course, just not my taste. beertholomeus (1814) - California, USA - JAN 15, 2014
Pours yellow with a thin white head. Citrus and tart aroma. Lemon, orange, mango, malt, tart, grass, floral and ginger flavors. Light body and medium carbonation. Sweet and slightly tart with a lemon citrus finish. AirForceHops (7806) - Epping, New Hampshire, USA - JAN 12, 2014
22 oz. bottle from Binny’s. Clear yellow in color with active carbonation. Nose is mostly fuzzy peaches with hints of lactic acid. Flavor is really big peach and light floral tones. But mostly fruity peaches and pears. Um…. Ok overall, it’s interesting but nothing I would reach for again. And “imperial” title for a Berliner is just really odd.

Cloudy hazy yellow nose is tropical and bitter. Very peachy. Rinds and grassy . nice tartness but too raw for me ,wish it was a bit more fruity. looks nice and nose is really great. 8% berliner though? c’mon! :) 5000 (6862) - Hardened Liver, Washington, USA - JAN 8, 2014
Bottle:   Soft hazy straw, thin frothy white head, spotty lacing.   Somewhat of an odd lemony nose.   Fruity up front, pale breadiness, malty, a little yeasty.   Gets a little mealy towards the back.   Not as bright or tart as more Berliner Weisse, seems more of a Fruit Beer to me.   Body and mouthfeel are moderate to full.   A little tart wheatiness on the backside, but mainly fruity of an unknown nature.   I guess that’s Yuzu? zach8270 (4021) - Henrietta, New York, USA - JAN 2, 2014
(draft @ New Belgium Brewing - Fort Collins, CO) Cloudy yellow pour with a fizzy white head. Wheaty and citrusy aroma. Didn’t get much sour. Flavor is sweet and citrusy at the start with a dry and very mildly tart wheat and sour middle. Finishes with a dry sour flavor rather than a tart sour flavor. Not bad but I was hoping it’d be more sour. BrettTaylor (784) - Radford, Virginia, USA - JAN 1, 2014
poured as taster at Ft. Collins site. citrus (lemon) yuzu fruit, sweet on palate, then fruit, then round almost caramel finish. Very refreshing and nice. beerguy101 (5364) - Newark, California, USA - JAN 1, 2014
Sampled on 1/1/2014. This Berliner Weisse pours a medium to light orange yellow gold color from a 22oz bottle. Medium sized white foamy head, with a rocky finish and nice lacing. The aroma is fruity and sweet, a touch tart and a touch funky. A light to medium bodied Berliner Weisse. The malts are wheaty, fruity and sweet. The hops are herbal and earthy. Nice lively carbonation. Citrusy flavors with a touch of kiwi. Slightly tart and perhaps a bit of funky. Light and refreshing. Very drinkable. Will this one get more tart with aging? Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is crisp, clean and dry. Aftertaste is slightly tart and sweet.
