Draft. Medium white head atop clear straw body, nice lacing. Aroma is moderately sweet, kiwi, some funk, light sour. Taste is moderately sweet, orange, light alcohol, sourness. Soft medium body, some stickiness. Not bad, but I agree with RB that at 8% and a body to match, this is not a Berliner Weisse. camborne (656) - Hopkins, Minnesota, USA - SEP 11, 2013
Nice citrus nose. More citrus on palate, is it yuzu, cant really tell. Lack of sourness is disappointing. Nice wheat flavor. Solid overall That1Guy (2236) - Colorado, USA - SEP 10, 2013
Bomber pours hazy yellow with a fizzy head. Lemon zest, citrus, and wheat right away, with some isovaleric funk in there. A very pleasant, light mouthfeel. Flavor is very citrus-forward, with a hint of tartness balancing it out. Some of the flavor tastes artificial, like sweet n low, but overall this is solid. skoisirius (1909) - Earth, Washington, USA - SEP 10, 2013
Draft at Noc Noc on the Haight. Pours a thin straw yellow color. Nose is faint elements of funk, wheat, and citrus notes. Flavor is basically the same as the nose, blended well, but just not as loud as I would’ve liked it. I want a Berliner to make my whole face pucker. Good for what it is though, very drinkable for 8%. Hazy golden pour with a white head. The aroma has some fruit notes (I assume it is yuzu) as well as a lot of biscuit and bready malt. The flavor is similar. There is a strong orange/yuzu note with some light cinnamon and apple notes, as well as some biscuit malt. Medium mouthfeel and medium carbonation. Nice, just not really any tartness and the alcohol got a bit boozy as I drank more of the bomber.

Bottle... Poured pale yellow with a moderate egg-shell/white head. Nose had faint fruits, definitely yuzu coming through. Tasted earthy and herbal, yuzu reminded of faint tea spice. Some wheated tones came through nicely with a dry mouthfeel especially towards the finish. Just a touch of acid. I wish there was more sourness here, but still a fine tasting beer. jefcon (1853) - Arlington, Virginia, USA - SEP 8, 2013
The sourness in this beer is like a picked cactus juice. Plenty of acid, but the malts just don’t carry the weight of the beer. A good idea for a beer, but not as good a result as many of this brewer’s other ideas yield. BigBeer45 (1532) - Michigan, USA - SEP 7, 2013
it had a clear yellow-pale gold pour and made a white one finger or more head of bubbles,
head receded to a thin cover and sticky ring, it left nice lacing on the glass,
the aromas were light wheat and lactid notes with some citrus and tropical fruit with a little lemon like fruit, little to no hops at all,
the nose was about medium in strength or touch more,
as this beer warmed up, the nose on this beer got a little funky, probably from the lactid notes in this beer ?
I did not mind though (I like Limburger cheese, so…), I would recommend drinking this beer when cold,
it had flavors of wheat and a little malt with yuzu fruit (which I had not sampled but found it to be tropical with a slight resemblance to lemon), there was citrus and a bit of tartness with a little sweetness,
the finish had some lactid and citrus tartness, it was drying on the mouth, a little of the fruit flavor and sweetness traveled on,
the mouth feel was less than medium, it was creamy and had average carbonation,
a light wheat and malt beer with some tropical fruit, I thought the balance between the beer and fruit was pretty good, the 8% in this beer was hidden well, I would enjoy this beer on a warm evening, it was cool and refreshing. radio_nowhere (1472) - Maryland, USA - SEP 7, 2013
Wife bought a bomber, I sampled some in a small glass. Light golden color with white head. Aroma of sour yeast, wheat malt and some some fruity/citrus notes. Taste added some green apple/pear fruity nuances, some grainy notes and a slight peppery/oregano spice note. Medium body, average carbonation, sweet, tart with a dry finish. Reminds me of a hefeweizen done with sour yeast. Alright light sipper, not one I’d go for again. Brouwerij (959) - Boulder, Colorado, USA - SEP 7, 2013
Bottle thanks to Alemax. Pours a slightly hazy straw gold with instantly settling white head, no lace. Aroma is fruity, mango, papaya, wheaty, sour, mildly lactic/acidic. Flavor is fruity, mango, guava, with a mildly wheaty, tart finish. Not much Berliner weisse character here, too sweet and boozy, glad to see it classified as a fruit beer. Soft carbonation, medium body, and a juicy, syrupy texture. A mess of a Berliner weisse, and pretty weird for a fruit beer. Interesting, but once is enough.
