COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Yuzu is a strange fruit- citrusy and bold. Those three words: strange, citrus and bold are the perfect beginnings for a great beer. So, our brewers paired yuzu with the sourness of a Berlinerweiss to create this beerlicious Yuzu Berlinerweiss. Brewed with pale malt and wheat this Berlinerwiess was acidified with Lactobacillus for a light, dry mouthfeel and tart refreshment. Hazy and straw-colored, the yuzu fruit brings a tropical charm to a traditional beer.

UPDATED: JUN 19, 2015 Sample pour from bottle of hazy straw yellow with white head that dissipates to a halo and a hazy lacing on top of the beer. Loads of citrus and orange but not a ton of bitterness. Light tartness but faint and more noticeable citrus flavors. Definitely noticeable alcohol that isn’t pleasant to me. 19062015 5oz sample pour. Crisp light yellow pour, white head. Nose comes through tart, citric, light. Flavor follows with a fruity note up front and tart finish, light and refreshing. Crisp and drinkable for 8% 04032014

Yuzu, very wierd taste to me. Reminds me of a sour type ale. The plus about this beer is that it has a nice prolonged aftertaste.

Bottle courtesy of Dallas with that derivative ticker James. Pours a could gold with thin white head and spots of lace. Nose of lemon, grain, crayon, wax. Crazy sweet. Taste on Sprite with a twist of lemon. Light body, so sweet. Not a Berliner

Aroma of sweet bubblegum and bitter citrus rind. Appearance is cloudy gold with thin cream colored foam around the rim of glass. Taste is more bitter than sour, kind of disappointing for the style, with some sweetness; this should be more sour. Palate is ordinary. Overall, good, but would be better if this was more sour.

From bottle. Very bubbly. Super foamy on pour. Clear golden yellow. Nose is primarily of yeast. Tastes mildy sour, mostly from yeast character. The slightly indistinguishable cider/fruit quality I assume us the "yuzu." A bitterness here that doesn’t quite work with the style.

http://imgur.com/L29pYeV -- Bomber from Concealer. Pours pale, slightly hazy straw with effervescent, white head that lasts. Smells of light funk and tart citrus. Drink with a slight lactobacillus bite and mild lingering bitterness. Light bodied with a dry mouthfeel. Tastes of funk, champagne, bubblegum, and citrus. Good effervescence, lively on the palate. Buries the 8% alcohol; very drinkable.

pours a hazy orangish yellow with a small white head. This beer is made with Yuzu juice. It has a fruity sour-sweetness, with some grain , tart and floral flavors.

Saison-like aroma with a slight sourness and hay along with a light citrus note. Lightly hazy pale yellow with a long lasting soapy white head. All of the aroma follows into the taste with a clear but not overwhelming sour taste along with the wheaty barnyard flavors of a Saison. The citrus component is like a cross of lemon, light guava and pear and is very tasty and food friendly. The 8% ABV is almost entirely undetectable and you’d risk getting completely wasted if you had a few of these around and didn’t take that into account. Again, a Saison like dryness follows the lightly sweet flavor and wraps everything up nicely. I wasn’t sure what I was getting into with an Asian fruit juice injected Imperial Berliner Weisse (that just sounds ridiculous based on the style), but this was a real, extremely tasty surprise!

On tap at World of Beer. Hazy, light pour with a small white head. Aroma is tart and fruity. Taste is almost bready spice, citrus, and a tart, kinda sour finish.
