Multiple samples on tap at GABF 2012. Pours a hazy golden color with white head. Sweet yet tart, some cherries, sour flavors. One of the better beers I sampled at GABF. I would like to try again in the future. pdx77 (1483) - Oregon, USA - DEC 1, 2012
Taster at Holiday Ale Festival. 80% mixed with 20% Glueh Kriek from Cascade. Flavorful pairing; sour cherry with deep blonde flavors. kidmartinek (5001) - austin, Texas, USA - OCT 27, 2012
A sour "Belgian" ale made in America ni doubt. That doesn’t mean it has to suck. Its just superficial. It has a sour, soapy aroma. Its a deep orange color. The head is a thin white ring. The flavor is watery, sour, and tart. Finish is a little dry. Not much else to say. But there is a question... why New Belgium? Dogbrick (13547) - Columbus, Ohio, USA - OCT 20, 2012
Sample at GABF 10/11/2012, thanks to Bluemeow76 for assistance with note-taking. Cloudy pale orange color with a medium off-white head and stringy lacing. Aroma of tart fruit and malt. Medium body with a mildly sour fruit character and notes of earthy malt and oak. The finish is fruity with a lingering tart aftertaste. Good all around.

#700! Glad I finally got a chance to rate this one, as it has eluded me for a while now. Multiple pours at GABF ’12; seriously I sat in front of New Belgium’s booth for at least 20 minutes just refilling my glass with this beast. Pour is hazy golden in appearance with a big white head and great lacing. Super funky aroma, dust, cat urine, wood, a touch of brett, light lemon, and cherries. Taste is citric acid, urine, white grapes, pears, green apples, and tannin ending medium sour. Medium mouthfeel with high carbonation. Great, great beer. Really funky, yet bright and citrusy and super easy-to-drink; like an American gueuze of sorts. Lovely! gnoff (10838) - Göteborg, SWEDEN - OCT 17, 2012

On tap at Toronado 25th Anniv party Pours dirty blonde with no head and a fruity aroma. There is a tart fruity flavor with some vinegar and a dry finish. Very sour and tasty. boFNjackson (4201) - Portland, Oregon, USA - MAY 19, 2012
Tap @ Apex... Poured cloudy, burnt orange with no head. Nose had brett and funk with barrel characters and light fruit. This was very tart, loads of barrel and oak character too. Wood and funk with acidity, light sweetness and fruits that reminded me of tart apples, and a lasting souring finish.
