COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Felix is New Belgium’s blonde sour ale aged in oak foeders at the brewery. It is blended in various proportions in many of New Belgium’s sour wood-aged beers, such as Le Terroir and Tart Lychee.

How to tell you’re drinking the Felix version of Love: should be straw to orange / amber in color, not dark caramel or brown. If it’s called "Love" on a pub or festival menu, it’s most likely Felix and not Oscar.

[Dr. Bill’s tasting @ Falling Rock, GABF 2004] An unclear orange beer with no head. The aroma is lovely sour from wild fermentation, and the flavor is an extremely sour wild fermented one with notes of grapefruit. Lovley.

A: The pour is a hazed orange/amber color with a minimal off-white/khaki colored head. S: I know this beer was dry-hopped, but the amount of hop aroma is quite surprising. Lots of nice citrus from the hops along with some other fruits and acidity from the beer itself. T: The hops (or at least the citrus character) seemed to translate well to the palate as well. A very juicy fruit character along with a solid bite of sourness and some dry oaky tannins. M: The body is medium with a fair level of carbonation. D: One of the best beers at the festival. Really easy to drink, refreshing, and interesting with the dry-hopping treatment.
