Draft. Sunset-orange, cloudy. Two fingers of fluffy white head recede pretty quickly. Balanced aroma, sweet and tart in harmony. Peach syrup with lemony tartness and very mild funk. The flavor’s balanced up front, where peach sweetness quickly gives way to a Shock Tart bite. Not too sour at all. Very subtle funk, with a hint of lemon juice at the finish. Medium-light, fluffy body with moderate carbonation and a fair amount of smooth fizz as it moves. Tasty and balanced. Tap: Super hazy, bordering on fully opaque amber-copper. Muddled, topped with a foamy, bright white film that extends itself to a semi-chunky collar around the glass. Very woody aroma with a nice, sour funk to it. Fruity, notes of peach, lemon, & even some faint cherry. Pungent lacto sourness with a good bit of mildly vinous oak & musty wood. Taste hits hard with sour peach flesh & apricot fruit. Mild boozy & woody sharpness, slightly tannic with lots of lemon, lacto, & yogurt-esque tartness that keep you puckering start to finish. Small touch of vinegar. Dry, finishing like a mild white wine with a puckering, white grape skin quality & vinous oaky notes. Very nice peachy sour from NB. On tap at Avery Sour Fest poured a clear amber with a small lingering ivory head. Aromas of straw, oak, vanilla, light peach and light barnyard funk. Palate was light bodied and crisp with a dry finish. Flavors of straw, light peach and light earthiness with a crisp dry lingering straw finish.

On tap @ Avery Sour Fest 2014. Pour is slightly hazy orange with a small white head and good lacing. Peach skin, tannic, huge oak, biscuit, apricots, white wine and tangy aroma. Taste is very well-balanced - fresh peaches, apricot skins, white grapes, green apples, wood and pepper with a medium sour finish. Slick mouthfeel with medium carbonation. Not usually a huge fan of whiskey barrel aged sours, but I seem to always enjoy the Felix iterations. On tap @ Avery Sour Fest 2014. Pours a milky yellow orange appearance with an off white head. Some vinegar, whiskey, oak, tannins, and stone fruit in the aroma. Twangy whiskey, caramel, leather, apricot / peach flavor. Slightly acetic. Pretty sour finish. Yellow amber. Expected and well done peachiness, definitely like how the peach come through and how it mixes with the whiskey barrel. Sour and barnyardy. Not too sour. An overall sweet whisky character. Whiskey stays in a complimentary role. Soft. a little slick. Overall maybe s little subdued, or perhaps mellowed with age? Tap at Churchill’s Sour Fest thanks to womencantsail. Pours low carbonation, clear light orange. Weak foam. Nose peach tea. Taste is white grape juice, sort of drained and weaker with low sourness. On tap @ Churchill’s. Orange pour with a small white head. Nose of peach, tea, and oak. Sourness of lemon and lemon zest. Maybe a touch of vanilla. Flavor is peach nectar, tea, and oak. Some lactic sourness, lemon, and a puckering finish.
