Pours a clear pale amber colour with large tight creamy off white head.
Aroma is nice floral hop. Light citrus-grapefruit, some caramel.
Flavour is not as hop forward as aroma suggests. Nice earthy sweet malt presence, a little peppery. Good balance with the bitterness.
Very nice APA.

Bottle. Clear amer color. Very earthy smell to it. A light bitter/sour aftertaste which becomes more delightful. A nice choice of drink. tedovertu (302) - Apple Valley, Minnesota, USA - JUN 17, 2008
Bottle, Grassy hoppy aroma. Frothy white head that has good lacing. Clear light amber body. Medium body with a slick texture going down. A little bitterness to the taste. josarah (112) - Hinesburg, Vermont, USA - JUN 16, 2008
Growler, light white head, hoppy aroma, deep golden color. Nicely hopped and balanced, finish is very smooth. Very good drinkable beer. stankenk (130) - Maplewood, Minnesota, USA - JUN 7, 2008
The nose is a very hoppy. A very smooth easy drinking pale ale. This has a very fine light finish that just makes you want another. I have yet to be disappointed with anything from the New Belgium brewery. Even if your not a pale ale drinker, I would highly recommend trying it.

New Belgium amazes me with how they are able to break their usual mold, yet keep their signature flavor... and still make an incredible beer!
Mighty Arrow has a bold hop character, which is sort of out of the ordinary for New Belgium. The One thing that I think of with this beer is... BALANCE. When I think of New Belgium, I think of that signature malt character, you know... that nutty, Fat-Tire-esque flavor. I love that flavor, and it is paired nicely with the bold hop profile mentioned above, to create a very balanced pale ale.
Definately worth buying.

Draft: Golden with a smaller white head. Aroma is lightly floral and a bit grassey. Taste is grainy with light grassey hops and a little bit of malt. Rather sour and brash. Sampled at some dive bar in Sun Valley... could have been foul tap lines? I’ll try to re-rate this one. rusty (1547) - Mesa, Arizona, USA - JUN 4, 2008
Pours a copper color with a nice white head. Aroma of hops, malt, and citrus. Flavor is hops, malt sweetness, a little grapegruit. Good carbonation and nice mouthfeel. I liked this more than I thought I was going to. SphinxTX (2875) - Mata Gorda, Texas, USA - MAY 28, 2008
Bottle, Foley Pack from Kegs & Barrels in McKinney, TX. Pours a nice clear deep gold with white head....not great retention but laced the glass. Aroma of obvious grapefruit. Flavor is strong hoppy grapefruit, light sweet malt, and a nice hoppy bitter......Palate is medium-high carbonation, medium body....Good stuff!!!!! Very refreshing.... graham515 (537) - Houston, Texas, USA - MAY 27, 2008
Pours copper into the glass with a small head that fades. Aroma is kind of a woody hop scent with some sweetness. Flavor is nice and crisp with plenty of hop and toasty malt flavor. A little more subdued than Sierra Nevada, but really this is one of my favorite beers I’ve had from New Belgium for just an everyday beer. I hope they start selling it in 6 pks soon!
