Our first venture into organically-produced beer, Mothership Wit Organic Wheat Beer elevates the zesty Wit or White beers of Belgium. Our far-flung Beer Rangers affectionately refer to our Fort Collins brewery as the Mothership, a name that conjures images of earth shot from space and the interconnectivity of it all. Mothership Wit is brewed with wheat and barley malt, as well as coriander and orange peel spicing resulting in a balance of citrus and sour flavors held in suspension by a bright burst of carbonation.

12 fl oz bottle. Pours hazy yellow with afully gone head. Aroma is dry estery and wheaty. Estery and wheaty fruity flavoured with a vague acidic touch. Ends with a light bitterness and acidic touch.

Ungstrup (38986) - Citizen of the universe, DENMARK - JUL 28, 2008
A hazy light yellow beer with a thin white head. The aroma is sweet with strong notes of citrus as well as lighter notes of wheat and lemon. The flavo is sweet wheaty with strong notes of coriander. The body is thin.

11th October 2008. GABF. Hazy pale gold beer. Crisp and dry palate. A little fruit and a little bubblegum but the overy dry palate is too distracting.

The color of urine when you have a bladder infection, very odd for a beer. Aroma of lemon zest. Taste is reminiscent of a sour limoncello, very refreshing. Tasty, but simple, everything revolves around the lemon theme.

Papsoe (25054) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - JUL 21, 2009
Bottle 35,5 cl. Pours a hazy and opaque pale yellow with a dense white head leaving laces. Slight citrus in the nose. Medium body with yeast dominating. Dry and somewhat astringent finish. A different - if not exactly more exciting - take on a Belgian Wit. 060709

Draught at the Yardhouse, Las Vegas
Cloudy pale blond color. The aroma is quite fruity, the mothfeel very weak, with a rather refreshing (but too simple) flavor, a bit herbal too.

Hazy yellow color, small steady white head, lace. Wheaty, coriander spicey aroma. Light-bodied. Banana, wheaty flavor with coriander. Light, very typical spicey witbier.

Very cloudy lemon appearance in the glass. Coriander and orange peel are present along with some citrus and light herbs. Rated 10/25/09

A: The pour is very cloudy and very pale yellow with a finger of white head. S: Good coriander aroma to the beer with some lively and fresh citrus notes. Orange peel and some fresh orange flesh seems to be there as well. A nice bit of bread and wheat flavor, too. T: Fairly sweet with lots of coriander, banana, and malt flavor. Mild bitterness with good orange peel flavors. Decently spicy with a good amount of yeast flavor too. M: Light to medium in body with a moderate level of carbonation. O: I enjoyed this beer, but it’s not an exceptional witbier by any means.

Dedollewaitor (16545) - Odense, DENMARK - JUL 26, 2010
