.. . . If my husband was a pie, what kinda pie would he be?? .. i’m not a pie!!
On tap at flying saucer eleventeen. Pours a deep ruby red, near clear, with a brown head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma is full of earthy raspberries with backing grain and a slight tartness. Flavor starts with raspberries that grow in tartness, but not much else. Raspberry a bit overwhelming. drjay44 (3795) - Salida, Colorado, USA - AUG 7, 2011
Draft at a local. Pours a thin off white head, with slight lacing, but nice legs, over a dark reddish brown (SRM 20) clear body....nose is light cereal, with heavy raspberry.....taste is raspberry, with a hint of sweetness to start, leading to a slightly sour finish.....mouth feel thick, alcohol hidden, carbonation low. This is dominated by the raspberry addition, which does not coordinate well with either the malts nor the hops. Additionally the yeast contribution to complexity is too subtle. i thought this was pretty good, seemed like a brown with some raspberry, but was very balanced. not tooo much of one and enough of the other. TBone (17987) - Pori, FINLAND - JUL 27, 2011

Dark ruby-pinky, almost opaque color, steady pinky head. Sour, milky aroma. Medium-bodied. Flavor is strawberry jam then rasberry stones. Finish has tart fruityness. Nice fruit beer.
Draft sample. Poured clear purple color with an average fizzy off-white head that mostly lasted with good lacing. Moderate to heavy tart berry fruit aroma. Medium to full body with a smooth texture and flat carbonation. Medium to heavy tart berry flavor with a medium to heavy sweet fruit finish of moderate duration. Refreshing drinkable fruit beer.

Pours a dark red with a small head. The aroma has notes of cherry, wood, & chocolate with a little bit of nutty character all around. The flavor has a good bit of raspberry and some cherry, there is a nice tartness all around and everything is balanced by a bit of bitter chocolate.
I rather liked this one. bjt512 (292) - Athens, Georgia, USA - JUN 29, 2011
On draught at Trappeze in Athens, GA. This poured the color of pink lemonade, raising a frothy white head, into a Trappist glass. Aromas and flavors were dominated by raspberries, with a hint of raspberries on the finish. It’s not quite as sweet as you would expect, but neither are raspberries relative to other berries. Well, what would you expect? BrewDad (5328) - Olympia, Washington, USA - JUN 28, 2011

Reddish brown in color, clear with a thin head. Big fruit in the aroma with light malts lingering. The fruit flavors where strong tart and sweet. This was a tasty NB brew.

D-Overall i was very impressed. If you don’t like raspberried you wont like this beer. But it wasn’t too strong on the raspberries and i liked how you tasted both sweet and tart at the same time. If it didn’t have that balance i think it would be too sweet or too harsh to drink. Loved this beer. will get again
