On tap at Brouwer’s. Dark red-purple pour, with a pinkish head on top. Tons of raspberries on the nose, with some chocolate as well. This is a cordial in a glass. Flavor actually brings a bit of roast in -- moves the chocolate from milk to dark, but keeps the fruit at the forefront. Super dark purple with a bit of brown on the edge, awesome purple head... Really sweet nose with a touch of tart raspberry, a touch generic and too sweet reminds me of St. Louis Framboise... Tap. Pours dark black cherry with an average, fuzzy pink head, medium-short retention with light lacing. Aroma is average malt (cookie, toast, bread), light hops (earthy), and average eaters (fruity) with notes of blackberry, cherry, and oak. Flavor is heavy fruit with some malt and hop notes. Medium body and carbonation, low warmth and a sweet-sour finish.

Tap @ New Belgium hub, DIA. Pours deep ebony, no real head, just a white / pink ring of foam along the glasssides. Aroma of tart and sweet raspberries, some yeast. i believe this is designed to be somewhat similar to their transatlantique kriek. body is dark eggplant color while the small, thin head is off-white to tan. earthy must (dirty) in the nose is a combination of raw, unsweetened berries with a small amount of charred oak and burnt cookie crumb. mild to medium tartness with medium-low acid and medium body, it’s a bit rough up front and seems to fizzle across the middle and back. the wateriness becomes strong in the short finish, comprised of the same charred wood, toasted cookie and unsweetened raspberry fruit character. not one of the better products.
