TURDFERGUSON (4058) - Durham, North Carolina, USA - APR 27, 2011
Draught at Carrboro Beverage Company. Pours a muddy amber with hardly any head. Nose is weird--raisin, brown sugar, prune, maybe some raspberry. Flavor is equally strange, more dark fruits than red fruits or raspberry. A little booze and just meh. I have no idea what they were going for here. Mystery_Tramp (29) - USA - APR 20, 2011
On tap at the Carrboro Beverage Company. Pours a dark brown with deep ruby highlights. Darker than expected. Lots of aromas coming out of this one. If you’ve ever had German red Cabbage you’ll know the smell. Cloves, red wine vinegar, sugar, beer, all into one. Flavor is a complex blend of fruit, earthy notes, some wood and spice. Nice tart finish. I’m thinking Flemish Red/Brown Ale with some fruit added. Overall, very nice dinner beer. Duck or Pork Roast for sure. Too bad it’s draft only. Tap at Eureka burger. Rating #13. Dark ruby red pour with a dirty pink head. Sweet raspberry pie aroma with a little chocolate in there as well. Dry and a little tart, chocolate covered raspberries. (1654) Lagunitasfan (1323) - San Diego, California, USA - APR 16, 2011
On tap at BCs with only 11 ratings. Dark brown red tints pink head. Good bit nOthomg amazing. Tart finish not overpowering. notalush (5910) - Lakewood, Colorado, USA - APR 15, 2011
Tap at Star Bar - presented to me as a raspberry stout, but more like a dark framboise - much more tart and fruity than expected, but with a fair amount of dark malt and cocoa character to balance - starts out with earthy raspberry, which dominates to the finish, where the more stout-like character finally breaks through, creating and cordial sort of flavor - surprisingly quaffable for the abv - nice.

Tap @ Falling Rock. Dark pour with thick foamy reddish head. Organic aroma of raspberry, choco. Tartness balanced quickly by chocolate malts. I like it. I was expecting bigger fruit and lasting tartness but I enjoy the maltiness. Getbetter (1033) - East Palo Alto, California, USA - APR 11, 2011
From a tap, chocolate malt, clear, brown, white foam, hint of raspberry, this a way better brown raspberry than lost coast. illinismitty (2271) - Nashville, Tennessee, USA - APR 11, 2011
ENBF. Pours deep purplish with a pale pinkish head. Aroma of lemony esters and raspberry. Lighter side of medium bodied with spritzy like texture. Flavor of wheat malts, raspberry, and mild funk. Very dry. Needs more residual sugars for balance- since fruit does naturally contain sugars. Ferment that out and you have that nasty extract that you add to baking recipes

Aroma has the sweet smell of vomit. Color is a purply soda, flavor is sour berries, very candyish, but not sweet- incredibly dry. BückDich (5464) - McCall, Idaho, USA - APR 1, 2011
Tap @ Bittercreek: Pours a purple color with a light white head. The nose is fruit forward with a light tartness in the background. Moderate raspberry and light malt notes. Not sweet at all, nicely balanced, but a bit one dimensional. The finish is lacking any pop and the flavor is all fruit. Nice zestyness and light tart notes though.
