What’s that bite of tartness doing in a pumpkin beer? Adding the unexpected kick of cranberry juice to brighten this traditionally spiced seasonal ale. PUMPKICK is brewed with plenty of pumpkin juice, cinnamon, nutmeg, and allspice, but it’s the cranberries and touch of lemongrass that send your tastebuds sailing.

Meh. Average pumpkin beer. Aroma was all spices. Nutmeg, cinnamon and a little vanilla. Pour was a dark gold/light brown with a thin off white film for a head. Taste was pretty muddled. The pumpkin beer was like the base with competing red fruit and an unwelcome tart finish. Good novelty beer, but he taste was too thin and two mixed up to have more tan one. Mild carbonation.

Pours a murky amber color with a slight pff white head. Aroma of light pumpkin, spices, slight tartness of cranberry. Flavor of pumpkin, heavier spices, tart cranberries in back half. Drinkable but kind of a mess honestly.

Hazy orange beer with a white head. Aromas of pungent spices and cinnamon. Tastes of lots of nutmeg, pumpkin pie, some toasted notes, and a hint of tart cranberries. Bittersweet, herbal finish. Not a bad pumpkin beer.

Crisp light amber body with a copper glow and a funky, large-bubbled off-white head about a centimetre tall. Aroma of grain, alcohol, light spices and a touch of caramel - not too pungent at all. Light to Medium-bodied; Slightly funky flavour of yeast and grain with a little spices and a touch of sweetness from caramelised sugars. Aftertaste is relatively bland with only a bit of earth and spices noticeable along with a faint kick of earth and squash. Overall, a pretty mediocre beer with not much flavours around and especially not anything worthwhile. I sampled this twelve ounce bottle purchased from Trader Joe’s in Falls Church, Virginia on 30-September-2016 for US$1,67 sampled at home in Upstate (New Paltz), New York on 25-November-2016.

A very nice pumpkin beer. Pours a pretty bright cloudy orange with a white head. Smells of pumpkin, cinnamon, lemongrass. Taste is much more lemony, with more pumpkin, cinnamon, a bit of cucumber. Had on tap at Green Dragon. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
