COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A burly and bitter Imperial IPA, Rampant pours a pure copper and carries the sheen of a rightly hopped beer. The Mosaic and Calypso hops bring stonefruit to the front seat, and the addition of Centennials nod towards citrus for a well-rounded aroma. The taste expands these hops with heavy peach tones and a profoundly bitter bite. There is some malt sweetness to stand this beer up, and Rampant’s finish is bone-dry.

A very "safe," but intensely sweet IPA--at least compared to conventional standards. Considering I don’t have much faith in New Belgium, this is a nice standout. Well executed. Serving: 12oz bottle.

Mix pack. Tremendous double IPA. Huge citrus aroma, great hop flavor and very bitter. Really liked this.

Poured from a bottle. Just an epic head that lasted a good while. Clear amber color, good lacing. Citrus aroma, floral notes too, slight bite to the taste.

From a 650ml bottle on 10/10/2014. Pours a slightly cloudy medium golden with a small head. The nose is features some light fruit and resiny hops. Take a sip and you find a decent caramel malt background, lots of sweet fruit (orange, peach, apricot), and marmalade, which is set off against a nice resiny hop bitterness. It’s nicely balanced with the sweetness just prevailing. The palate is a touch creamy and the carbonation moderate. I can’t really separate this from the Black Market Liberation imperial I downed last night - it’s very enjoyable and well made, but lacks something to make it a really memorable DIPA.

aracauna (3604) - Georgia, USA - OCT 4, 2014
Citrus and tropical fruits in the aroma. Flavor is a little sweeter than ideal, but not heavy. Just a little candied.

TheBear11D (365) - Michigan, USA - OCT 3, 2014
Rampant pours a golden yellow with a decently thick off-white head that lasts a while. The aroma is citrus, floral and peach. The flavor favors the peach more, but the citrus and floral is still present. Overall this is a decent beer.
