COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A burly and bitter Imperial IPA, Rampant pours a pure copper and carries the sheen of a rightly hopped beer. The Mosaic and Calypso hops bring stonefruit to the front seat, and the addition of Centennials nod towards citrus for a well-rounded aroma. The taste expands these hops with heavy peach tones and a profoundly bitter bite. There is some malt sweetness to stand this beer up, and Rampant’s finish is bone-dry.

[email protected] Golden. Grapefruit green berries. Caramels. Real good rate here. Pretty nice, not too cloying or thick. Fruity hoppy. Drinkable.

Clear light golden amber with a large frothy white head. Aroma muted, like its too balanced, hops don’t shine through. Similar with flavor, hops don’t really shine through, too sweet. Low bitterness. Not too big or heavy. Decent beer but does not stand out in a crowded style.

light amber color; wonderful citrusy hop aroma; great, bitter, piney, citrusy hop flavor on a medium bodied bready malt base and a dry, bitter aftertaste; pretty easy drinking for such a high gravity beer

Pours a light bronze. Smells of must and funk. Smooth taste with a slight bitter finish. Nice full flavored IPA

Pours from 12oz bottle a clear golden-yellow, huge sparkly fuzzy white head. Big bubbles at the surface. Big perfumed nose of orange blossoms, crushed floral notes, slight citrus, creamy hops. The flavour is somewhat spicy, grassy, citrusy, caramel, biscuit, peach orange, and light black pepper notes with a medium bitter finish. Chewy bitter resinous fruit and dank tones. Really nice DIPA..

From QC. Translucent gold-amber with thick white bubbly head and foamy head. Smells very bitter, piney, becomes floral and caramel malt as it warms up. Taste is, again, very piney and bitter. Dry, especially in the finish. Body is spicy, slightly foamy. A very dry, bitter IIPA.

A touch on the light side in body and color, but it opens up nicely. Aroma and flavors of peach and tropical fruits, slightly herbal and aromatic, with a dry finish. 7/13-maybe even better on tap brewery fresh...more peach and a denser aroma, but I’ll leave as is. For now :)"

Bottle from QClub at home. Clear deep golden amber pour. Aroma is deep resinous hops - good. Taste is very very bitter hops at the beginning. Resin and pine. Too bitter and then a bit too sweet before a slight boozy finish. Not bad for the price (~HK$25) but not a DIPA I'd look for again.

Transfer from BA review on 6-9-13 Poured from bottle into a pint glass Appearance- The beer pours a nice amber color with a two finger white head. The head has great retention, slowly fading to leave a nice level of lace on the sides of the glass. Smell – The aroma is sweet and fruity with some nice more citrus and pine hop smells. The sweet is of a caramel mixed with lots of tropical fruits of mango, papaya and tangerine which when mixed with the hop smells is very nice. Taste – The taste begins with a malty and slightly sweet flavor upfront with some notes of caramel and light tropical fruits. A citrus hop is present upfront consisting mainly of a grapefruit but also a little bit of lemon. As the flavor advances flavors of a grassy and light pine hop also come to the tongue. While the sweetness gets a bit stronger in the middle of the taste, at the end it lessens, leaving a rather nice, drier, and moderately bitter flavor to linger on the tongue. Mouthfeel- The body of the beer is on the medium to slightly thicker side with a carbonation level that is on the average to slightly lower side. Both are great for the hoppy flavors of the brew. Overall – A rather tasty brew overall with good transitions between sweet and hoppy throughout the taste.

Pours a pale copper color, small amount of foamy head that left rings down the glass. Just the right amount of bittering with a citrusy and dry finish. Very drinkable double IPA.
