Clear dark gold in the glass. Just looking at the glass on the table I can detect aroma notes of Sweet Tarts and tropical fruit notes. Nice bitter citrus flavor with a hint of asprin finishing with a minty citrus aftertaste. Overall, a decent Imperial IPA. smallfry (169) - - SEP 10, 2014
UPDATED: OCT 2, 2014 (Bottle) Slight funky aroma. Surprisingly sweet taste with a medium but long-lasting bitter finish. It’s okay but there are much better IIPAs out there. guzzler67 (1696) - Hanover, Maryland, USA - SEP 10, 2014
Slightly hazed amber appearance with an average size white head and decent lacing. Solid hop aroma featured a lot of citrus along with resin. Flavors as smooth as an IPA until the assertive aftertaste takes command with a dry, bitter, deceptively alcoholic aura. Medium to full bodied, nicely carbonated mouthfeel leading to a lingering finish.

The beer pours a very light gold color without much of a head or cloud. It is quite translucent and surprisingly light looking. The smell is fantastic and is quite sweet and fruity with a mild hop aroma. The taste is comparable to the aroma and the finish is quite clean. An excellent Imperial IPA which is easy to drink! 650ml bottle. Pours golden with finger of white head, good lacing. Aromas of pine, citrus some malt. Taste of orange citrus, floral, some spice. But a touch too much alcohol in the back end. Nice bitter finish. winto (35) - Washington, USA - SEP 4, 2014
nose: sawdust and varnish everywhere! well that brings back memories. wow. there’s notes of malty goodness [im thinking cracker jacks] but rather hidden.
palate: the woodiness is much less noticeable here. pretty sweet but super pleasant, caramelly but not cloying at all. the prickly carbonation counterpoints well and lifts everything into a spiked spicy cream soda/ginger ale float experience. i say yum. finish is more of the same as it trails off gracefully. mmmmm....

Pours clear golden orange with a large white head. Smells strongly of grapefruit and other citrus. Taste is bitter, bitter, bitter, and bold citrus flavors. Medium-bodied with a wet texture and soft mouth-carbonation, New Belgium Rampant Imperial IPA finishes with a lingering bitter dryness. sawbuck (744) - Round Lake, Illinois, USA - SEP 3, 2014
Nice piney hop aroma...fresh. Some notes of lemon and grass. Lighter orange than anticipated, clear...white head. Nice mix of sweet, rich caramel malt up front, quickly followed by an even bitterness. Bitterness is tame at first, but then livens up towrds the finish. Medium mouth feel with a somewhat dry finish. Bitter aftertaste is medium to light for the style...not off-putting. Some alcohol bun also. Not bad FestDecBeet (412) - - SEP 2, 2014
