This has become a go-to beer for me since it’s readily available (and not too expensive) at the local grocery store. The body is clear and golden with a (usually) foamy head that leaves behind a thick, slippery lacing. The aroma is pungent, earthy with grasses and herbs and a touch of nectarine. It’s definitely hop dominated with grasses, bitter herbs, and a light touch of peach and peach pit. The soft malts give just enough of a backbone to support it all. It finishes quite dry, leaving a peppery bitterness on the tongue. Nice. arondee (601) - Phoenix, Arizona, USA - FEB 23, 2014
Pours a dark golden color with a huge white head that never goes away and sticks to the sides of the glass. Aroma is huge hops, dirty, earthy, wet dog hops, with a light malt background. The taste is strongly earthy, with a hint of citrus, nicely balanced with a cereal malt. The finish is a little bitter but not overly so. Pretty good and easy to drink IPA. mike5326 (1788) - virginia beach, Virginia, USA - FEB 21, 2014
Poured from a bottle. Clear golden color, medium white head. A nice floral hops smell. Nice crisp floral hops flavor with a good finish.

Bottle: piney, citrusy, earthy, aromas on the nose, and flavors of peach and bitter fruit. Great pure hop taste. Pungent, bitter, and clean. (Others have stated all of this.). An excellent easy to enjoy imperial IPA with a dry finish.

Bottle: Clear, golden honey, thick head and great lace. Not as lifted as the IPA. Hops dominate but good malt profile. Fruity, citrus. fresh and only just a hint of pine. A slight caramel edge. Off dry, not sour and medium high bitterness. Rich, dense flavor. long. Balanced. Big flavor. Creamy. Moderate carbonation.
Lots going on. Pleasant IPA. Not excessively green rather fruity.

Pours a clear golden yellow with a thin, white head with large bubbles. Aroma is a slightly sweet with a mild bread, tropical fruit, and resin. Taste is on the bitter with notes of pine, resin, tropical fruits, and a slightly sweet, resin finish. Medium body and carbonation. Resiny/syrupy texture. Overall tasty. Rampant is an aptly-named brew. This hop-forward ale gives you piney, citrusy, earthy, and slightly fruity aromas on the nose, and flavors of peach, ginger, and a subtle candy sweetness from the malt. Most of all, though, Rampant showcases pure hop taste. Pungent, bitter, and clean. In fact, this brew seems more bitter than its 85 IBU’s would indicate. In the end, Rampant isn’t the ballsiest, most expertly balanced, or most innovative Imperial IPA. And that’s totally fine. It’s an excellent hoppy beer from a fantastic brewery. Damn easy to drink, too. BeerInHeaven (499) - Brillion, Wisconsin, USA - FEB 15, 2014
pours a rich clear amber gold with a nice foamy white head. Definite pine aroma. Tastes hoppy bitter with a hint of orange zest. great long bitter finish with good nasal linger. Exactly what I like. Good beer. MrThrifty (1) - - FEB 15, 2014 does not count
Pours copper, full head with strong citrus and floral notes. First taste is reminiscent of Asian cuisine with great hop presence but also a nice balance. Flavor is best once beers temperature comes up. Notes of ginger, grapefruit, and vinegar. Delicious beer but more balanced then expected. Hop presence isn?t quite "rampant."
