Bottle. Aroma of hops and orange zest. The taste starts off with a layered hop profile, with some sweetness in the middle and finishes with a nice bitterness. Great IPA, better than their Ranger beer. 8.5% alcohol. skoisirius (1909) - Earth, Washington, USA - JUN 24, 2013
Big and piney nose and flavor profile. Fairly dry all over the place. It’s a decent DIPA, and really you can’t beat $8 a 6er! Will buy off and on this summer for sure. Thudstrum (18) - - JUN 23, 2013
Bottle pour. Crystal clear copper color. Very carbonated. Great taste with dry finish. Recent favorite.

DIPA version of their Ranger. If you like Ranger you’ll like this. There is a similar hop profile only more so and the malt profile is similar but also more potent. Dogbrick (13036) - Columbus, Ohio, USA - JUN 22, 2013
On draught at Yard House in Scottsdale. The beer is a clear copper-amber color with a medium off-white head that dissipates slowly to a film. Partial rings of lacing on the glass. Aroma of piney hops and roasted malt. Medium body with a resiny hops character and notes of toasted malt and fruit. The finish is moderately bitter with an earthy hops aftertaste. Decent overall.

Bottle. Nose of pine, citrus and soap. Tastes like pine and alcohol. The alcohol, gas taste really starts to shine as it warms. Pretty poor dipa. Kinz (3786) - Glen Allen, Virginia, USA - JUN 22, 2013
Draft. Poured a rather golden color, with a slight head. Aroma was grapefruit, pine, notes of tropical fruit. Flavor was a dead on match. I may have conjured up some peach on closer inspection. Medium bodied, dry finish. Malts just present enough to keep the bitterness balanced. Nice beer. mikedevilsfan (226) - Portland, Oregon, USA - JUN 22, 2013
Copper/golden color. Very white head with pine on the nose. Has a pine bite on the back end that lingers. bitterbrewer (53) - Colorado, USA - JUN 21, 2013
Clear light amber with heavy hop aroma and flavor. But it’s unbalanced with strong floral hops and little to back it up. Good overall, but not great. yoitts (9) - Indianapolis, Indiana, USA - JUN 20, 2013 does not count
New Belgium’s play on the Stone Ruination as the name suggests. A bold ale and enjoyable if you like the idea of a Ranger IPA with bolstered nuts. It is just that in my opinion. A very good brew not in the class of Stone Ruination.
