Whole Foods Market (P st)- DC 22oz ($5): Pours a copper color with a nice white head that leaves a good layer of lacing. Aroma is of hops and fruitiness (someone noted that there was a hint of blueberry, and I am definitely picking that up). Some pine in there as well. The front of this beer is rather mellow, with a little malty sweetness, but the hops get a little bit more bitter towards the finish. This is a pretty good mild IPA; nothing the matter with it at all.

UPDATED: OCT 21, 2011 It was basically your typical IPA. Nothing too exceptional, nothing too out of the ordinary. I had it after having the Mothership Wit, the Somersault and the Fat Tire Amber Ale and I think it was only better than the MW. The biggest plus would be that it tasted clean.

Fantastic IPA! This beauty pours a dark golden color with a small, but lace-ridden off-white head. The head is sticky and cascades all the way down the glass. The nose is full of spicy and fruity hops. The body is extremely smooth and drinkable, with a hint of creaminess. The flavors are delicious, with a ton of flowery, dry and spicy hops. The finish has some dry grapefruit and a hint of alcohol.

Ar: Tangerine and pine sap, very pungent - a bit of blueberry and black pepper. Ap: Clear golden-orange - medium off-white head, very creamy with great retention and lacing. T: Clean malty cracker mixes with orange rind and pine - medium-high bitters, but very clean - finish is steely and firm. P: Medium bodied with medium-high carbonation - finish is dry. O: Really nice IPA - well-balanced, flavorful, and drinkable.

Had on vacation in Nags Head. Pours out an attractive copper color with a two finger off white head. Aroma is of some nice citrusy grapefruit and light malty notes. Taste is light citrus hops, some light grain, pine and a nice bitterness on the finish. Solid.

IPAs aren’t my preference. This tastes like a decent one to me, but it approaches my bitterness limit, so I can’t say I enjoyed it.

On draft at Harry’s in Shorewood. Pours a golden amber color with a big white head. Aroma is hoppy, citrus, a little pine. Medium on the palate with average carbonation. Flavor is bitter, hoppy, pine, with a dry bkitter finish. A good IPA.

Bottle. The hop quality to this beer is very herbal, earthy, and fresh. The bitterness is a bit strong for my liking these days-- very dry and resinous on the finish. Clear copper body with a nice white lasting head.

This is a very mild IPA. Citrus (grapefruit, some lemon zest) and grassy hops with a fair amount of sweetness as well.

Bottle. One of my favorite IPAs. I find it very smooth with a mild bitterness and citrus taste.
