Six pack from the Local Harris Teeter Supermarket. Pours a clear dark amber/brown color with almost no head. Aromas of caramel, chocolate, and some citrus. Taste is medium bitter, palate is alive with medium body and a light creamy texture. Well made and easy drinking, a good beer. brandon1989 (712) - Lewisville, Texas, USA - JAN 7, 2014

On tap at New Belgium (GABF week 2012). Pours with a clear bronze hued body with a large tan head. Aromas are nutty and toasty, sort of victory like malt, maple and grainy with a light fruity notes. Flavors are light coffee, nutty and roasty, grainy, clean. Slightly strong bitterness for what was expected. Fuller carbonation with a relatively dry finish.

Red with a white head. The aroma is full of pine with some red ale malt. The flavor is fairly hoppy. I get some heavy pine and grass notes as well as some toffee character. Medium mouthfeel and medium carbonation. Terminizzle (9) - Washington, USA - AUG 12, 2013 does not count

Bottle. Deep dark copper colour, average cream coloured head. Aroma is equally toasty and hoppy. The malts here are toasty with notes of chocolate. The hops are sharp and piney. This is a compelling amber, tasty and rich. I liked it. BrewDad (5667) - Olympia, Washington, USA - JUL 2, 2013
