Bottle @ tasting. Aroma has spicy and herbal hops, some pine. Flavour is medium bitter, some caramel malt sweetness and again herbal and plant like hops. Okay. dhunter151 (590) - Santa Rosa, California, USA - JAN 26, 2013
Pours a reddish amber. I found it to be a little too malty. The aftertaste was off. Probably not something I'd try again.

Pours reddish amber with a nice wispy tan head. Medium bodied with lush carbonation. Notes of resinous citrus, chocolate malt, toffee malt, fair bit of roast. I found the roasted malt to clash a bit with the hops. kaser (6366) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - JAN 21, 2013

[4844-20121005] 22floz bottle. Mild wet leafy hops aroma. Clear, bright red body with a long-lasting creamy light tan head. Toasted wood and grainy leaf residue flavour. Medium body. Average. (6/3/7/3/12) 3.1 quiznoaz (309) - Arizona, USA - DEC 29, 2012
This is what it would be like to eat a mouthful of hops, if the hops were cold and wet instead of dry and leafy. Eventually some malt comes through. This beer is very hop forward, but not terribly bitter. hayduke (5619) - Eureka, California, USA - DEC 26, 2012
Purchased in a six pack from Paul’s Grocery in McCall, Idaho. Pours a clear dark copper color raising a medium sized beige head and light lacing. Nose of roasted malt with some citrus and floral hops. Medium in body. Flavor is a good balance of malts and the hops, with some chocolate in the malts and pine in the hops. The finish is slightly bitter and dry . Good for the style. djd07 (15341) - Houston, Texas, USA - DEC 26, 2012
Bottle as shown. Pours a cloudy amber with a small beige head. The aroma is floral hop and spice. Thin mouthfeel with a light spice and fruit malt with nice lingering bitter finish. A good amber ale from New Belgium. scoth (690) - Fort Collins, Colorado, USA - DEC 25, 2012
Pours clear brown with a medium beige head, fine lacing. Aromas of pine, nuts, toast, and chocolate. Medium-light body, creamy and zesty, lightly dry. Little sweetness, a hint of citrus, then a lasting medium bitter finish. Very drink
able. Big and interesting for an amber.
