On tap at Stone Sour Fest 09. Pours a cloudy dark brown with a thin tan film. Amazing spicy and roasty aroma with some chocolate and cinnamon. Flavor is fruity and sour up front and is supported by some cinnamon spiciness and just the right amount of tart and funk. A great variation of a great beer and my favorite of the day. daleharshman (1075) - Escondido, California, USA - JUL 22, 2009
Tap at Stone Sour Fest 2009. Pours a very dark brown, almost black. Wonderful aroma of spices -- mainly cardamom and cinnamon -- as well as some roasted notes. Flavor is only slightly tart and leans toward malty goodness. Tastes strongly of spices, again cardamom and cinnamon. Has a nice tangy finish. Probably the best of the ten beers that I tried at the festival. The spice combo is not quite right to give a holiday feeling, but I’d still be happy sipping this on a cold day. badlizard (5533) - Berkeley, California, USA - JUL 19, 2009
Dark brown with a fizzy brown head. Orange peel, cinnamon, and corriander aroma and taste with a tart chocolate finish. Lagunitasfan (1323) - San Diego, California, USA - JUL 27, 2009
Stone Sourfest on tap. Dark cola-brown. Sweet tart and rich. Lightly in all cases. Sharp afters. Not supersour. tokyogoat (1503) - San Diego, California, USA - SEP 2, 2009
Stone Sour Fest 2009
Poured a foggy red brown.
Nose was of oak, pumpkin pie spices, and a hint of red wine.
Taste was very spicy, sweet with candi sugar, fall spices with a hint of heat, a tad of sourness. A very unique and quality offering.

Sampled at the 2009 Stone Sour Festival. An interesting variation of one of my favorite sour ales. A light cinnamon and all spice detected. Pretty good. Snojerk321 (2984) - San Diego, California, USA - JUL 22, 2009
Tap @ Stone Sour Fest 2009. Pours a dark reddish amber with a small beige head. Lots of cinnamon, clove, oak and vinegar on the nose. Flavor held some coffee, spice and a bit of dry oak. Pretty solid, glad I got to try it. carruthm (1400) - Seattle, Washington, USA - JUL 23, 2009
Stone Sour Fest, San Diego 2009.
black dark brown color and it is indeed really spicy. cinnamon, nutmeg and grains of paradise I think I picked out. JohnnyJ (5569) - San Diego, California, USA - JUL 25, 2009
Stone sour ale fest 09. Dark brown pour. this was a really interesting beer. I liked the aroma. Chocolate, cinnamin, nutmeg, sweet malts, and fruit. The flavor did not really five with the sournes though in my opinion. Flavor is spicy like the aroma, but with oak, sourness, and vinegar. WeeHeavySD (3387) - Portland, Oregon, USA - JUL 19, 2009
Tap @ Sour Fest 3 today at stone. Poured cloudy brown with a tan ring. Nose is spicey and smokey and big. Taste is tart, burnt, and strange a weird one off.
