3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Tap at Falling Rock - murky orange pour - very odd presentation for New Belgium, but welcome - almost like a fruit lambic - moderate lactic acid and light acetic bit through the middle - brett is mildly developed - the fruit is hard to identify, and does not present as distinctly lychee - more like a peach flavor - oak is present but surprisingly subdued for the amount of time in the barrel - a less approachable sour than a lot of the other ones they make - probably good for la folie fans - enjoyable.
Hazy pale peach pour with a two finger, creamy off white head. Aroma is loaded with tropical fruit, sweet cinnamon rice, lacto tartness and vanilla heavy toasted oak. Flavor is sweet tropical fruit, cranberry, vanilla, oak, cereal, cinnamon, a little savory salinity, that fits kinda oddly and some minerality. Medium body, slick entry, acidic middle and off dry, kinda soft finish, medium to heavy, sharp, but dispersed carbonation. Pretty tasty, it’s an odd combination, but I really like the cinnamon in there. DiarmaidBHK (5715) - Lewisburg, Pennsylvania, USA - JUL 31, 2017
Taster at New Belgium Asheville. Pours golden with a white head. Leaves some lacing in the glass. Nice balance of fruit and tartness on the nose and tongue. I get a little wood in there as well. Very easy drinker! kevinator (2622) - The Colony, Texas, USA - JUL 12, 2017
Another decent beer down the sour path that NB has taken. Nice aromas and flavors of lightly sweet malt with tartness that is tamed by the cinnamon. Interesting blend. Borresteijn (7415) - Zaandam, NETHERLANDS - JUN 3, 2017
66cl Bottle, tfs Harmen! Hazy golden colour, creamy white head. Aroma of wood, light tart, light funk, peppercorn, fruity, citrus. Flavour is light sour, light funky, citrus, lychee, peach, hint of peppercorn, wood, soft tart finish. Medium bodied, smooth mouthfeel. Good, very well-balanced. Didn’t get any cinnamon though. gopherfan99 (2000) - Minnesota, USA - APR 6, 2017

Visual: Pours cloudy golden orange with a large foamy head
Nose: tart fruity funked lychee (lvl-6)-pungency
Mid-palate: (lvl-3-sweetness), fruity aromatic lychee, mild wheat malt, soft tart
Finish: lingering fruitiness, cinnamon exhale
Summary: Great stuff, solid lychee flavour with a very nice fruity malt body. The cinnamon and oak are subtle but present.
Draft taproom. Aroma is totally lychee juice. Taste is lychee, not that sour, tasty.

Pours hazy gold into a tulip. Bright white head with little retention recedes to hug rim. Lychee, cinammon and oak aromas. Dry with sweet/sour lychee and cinnamon upfront turning to marshmallow and oak in the lasting finish. SirLimpsalot (4452) - SWEDEN - JAN 21, 2017
