A very solid IPA and collaboration ale, orangey body with a nice white head, smells of citrus and pine hops that moves into a malty body with plenty of bitterness to balance that lingers. trevor211 (1681) - Seattle, Washington, USA - MAY 27, 2011
Growler filled at Super Deli Mart. Pours a murky orange amber, with a smallish off-white head. Those oh-so-familiar citrus, pine, and caramel notes hit you right off in the nose. Maybe a bit heavy on the malts in the aroma, but that gets turned back around when you take a sip -- hops come to the forefront, and there’s even a bit of alcohol burn. Nice and bitter, but very smooth. Like. dchmela (3062) - Orlando, Florida, USA - APR 6, 2011
Tap at APEX. Pours a dark brown. Big citrus, grapefruit hop nose, very fresh. Nice thick body, toffee sweetness and grapefruit hop bite. Nice collaboration. Beardface (1517) - Eugene, Oregon, USA - APR 2, 2011
Tap at 16 Tons. This beer is unfiltered and pours a very cloudy dark amber with a couple fingers of light tan head. Smells of grapefruit, resin and light caramel. Tastes mainly of pine with some citrus mixed in, grapefruit and peach with a little bit of caramel as well. A little thick on the mouthfeel, but a solid beer nonetheless. boFNjackson (4201) - Portland, Oregon, USA - MAR 29, 2011
Tap @ The County Cork... Poured amber with a bubbly white head. Nice hoppy nose. BA great balanced IIPA with some citrus and nice hop spice. Decent bitterness and a balanced finish with some caramel malt and citrus sweetness creeping in.

Draft at the pike street. Pours an opaque burnished medium brown with a dense and creamy tan head that really sticks around, leaving plenty of lace. Big orange and grapefruit nose. Very forward without being unweildy. Caramel there as well. Creamy medium body with lively carb. Caramel, oranges, and grapefruit on the mid palate. Long tangy citrus rind finish. Delicious. Ready for prime time. Damn the torpedoes. highibus (821) - Vail, Arizona, USA - MAR 27, 2011
On tap at taphouse grill in a tulip. Beautiful burnt amber with white head. Great lacing. Very light nose, some light sweetness and a bit of hops. Flavor is rich carmel malts with a nice hop balance. Clean finish. Really nice although I would not call it a double ipa. Nice beer though. riversideAK (6261) - Shoreline, Washington, USA - MAR 20, 2011
Nose is sweet and full of caramel and pale malts, residual sugars, earthy hops with slight citrus, pepper, and dirt. Strongly sweet nose does not showcase hop notes all that much. Was looking forward to the Falconers Flight blend but malt centric base kind of killed that. Pours reddish amber, lightly hazy, creamy lasting head. Nice looking beer. Sweet caramel initially, lots of residual sweetness, pale malt sweetness, earthy peppery hops. Light candied citrus notes. Did I mention residual sugars. Sweet to the point of almost barley wine, and if it was listed as that I might enjoy it a little more, but way malty imperial IPA. Lingering sugary mouth feel, dry peppery hops, and touch of booze. Not much in the way of a showcase at all. it sounded awesome on paper, was not flawed, but didn’t deliver what i was looking for. Bummer.
