"Good use of rye here...melds well with the light farmhouse character of the beer, though I’d think of this as a rye ale before a saison, there are elements of both. Would have brought one home if there was room."

Tried this in a 22oz bottle. Poured with a finger width of dense white head. Bright copper color, slightly translucent Aroma of tart cherries with slightly earthy undertones. Taste-Apricot sweetness followed by floral and bready notes. No barnyard or funk that I would expect. More fruit and sweeter flavors but it finishes dry and slightly tart. A little creamy but not slick or oily. Fairly crisp finish. Overall tasty beer. Not very "farmhouse-like" No overt yeast character outside of a slight tartness and subtle earthy character. Nice drinkability.

Pour on tap at the brewery, hazy orange pour with white head, aroma brought notes of rye, earth, spice notes, hints of white fruit, peach, pear, slight grainy notes with a hint of orange peel, grapefruit in there. Taste is a mix of grapefruit, orange, slight grass into spice, rye, slight white fruit notes, hints of biscuit, bread in there, touch of a yeasty note, finishing bitter.

Cloudy amber color with small compact head. The aroma is fruity and fresh. Malt and cereals flavor, with balanced bitterness and a very fresh fruity hopping.
Very nice.

Bottle. Pours with a lightly hazed golden yellow hued body with a medium sized white head that lasts. Aromas are estery with apples, dried fruit, rye, spicy, mild citrus and sweet fruit notes. Medium malt. Flavors are of citrusy and slightly tropical hops, canned pineapple, medium spice, strong apple esters, dried apricot, mild malt. Relatively dry and crisp. Medium-lively carbonation.

Draft. Amber beer with a cream head. Earth and light brett aroma. Brett and earth flavor with spice and citrus. Medium bodied. Brett and citrus lingers with light spice, earth, and malt.

On tap at the Livermore Saloon. It pours yellow with a small white head. The aroma is light citrus, spice and rye. A bit bready. The flavor is full with rye and spice and perfectly balanced with floral and citrusy hops. Full and silky mouthfeel. Mildly tart bitter finish with more spice and yeast. Yum.

Bottle:   Orange hued straw, hazy, moderate to large frothy white head, nice lacing.   Light spicy nose, a little floral.   Has a faint apple and pear skin aroma too.   Not as spicy on the nose.   Rye is noticeable.   Dull floral and spicy notes.   Not bright or floral like most, but at least its spicy.   Moderate body and mouthfeel.   Spicy and hoppy on the exit.   Entertaining to drink, could be brighter and more floral, but its at least got some nice spiciness to it.   Decent if not really my idea of a Saison.
