On tap at St. Augustine’s, pours a hay orange with a small white head. Aroma and flavour of caramel malt, resin, and a little rye. Pretty potent, with a rye and fruity finish. Solid stuff, but nothing very interesting. onceblind (9628) - Denver, Colorado, USA - DEC 1, 2013
Clear golden with a medium solid foamy head. Nose is a bit faint, with toast and light grassiness. Flavor is also light, with light grassy and lemon-rind bitterness, with a little toast and bready sweetness supporting it. Kinda boring. PhilJackson80 (531) - Oklahoma, USA - NOV 30, 2013
UPDATED: APR 20, 2014 22 oz Bomber. The beer pours to a slightly dark golden color with a thin white head. The aroma a stone fruit, slight floral, rye notes. The taste is slightly sweet upfront followed by balanced bitter finish. The rye is there but not over powering the overall flavor. Overall a very good Rye IPA for me. brokensail (16444) - Dublin, California, USA - NOV 28, 2013
On tap @ Pour House Paso Robles. Hazy amber/orange pour with a white head. Sweet orange, caramel, and brown sugar on the nose. A touch of apricot and herbal, pine notes, too. Maybe a bit of vanilla. Flavor is sweet sugar and a touch of bitterness. Lots of orange peel, some herbs, pine, and caramel. A bit of apricot and vanilla. Mild oxidation and toasted bread. Okay. skmikeg (1826) - Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA - NOV 12, 2013
Pours a light orange with a small white head with some lacing. Aroma is of citrus, pine, rye, sweet biscuit malts, light dank hops, and some light tropical fruits (mainly cantaloupe). Taste is citrus (grapefruit and orange), pine resin, rye bread, sweet malts, biscuit malts, tropical fruits, and some light dank grassy hops. Has a medium body with a semi creamy mouthfeel and a semi dry, semi-moderately bitter, medium long, juicy and refreshing finish. Overall, a pretty nice, refreshing, sessionable rye IPA.

22oz bomber pours up with a crystal clear gold body that supports a tall dirty white head of foam. The modest aroma offers up soft floral hop notes, cantaloupe, bits of citrus and then a touch of mango. The taste has a pleasing degree of grapefruit, tangelo and mango like fruity hoppiness where bitter hops run out ahead in the front of the flavor. To midway it gets a little spicy just as a light white wine fruitiness is noticed. Nice IPA. Doofgoblin (513) - Chevy Chase, Washington DC, USA - OCT 9, 2013
Thought the aroma could have been better; however, the flavor is real solid with a lot of juicy (non-oniony) hop character. The finish is quick and bitter. I sort of pick up the rye on the end but it’s harder to tell with these hops congregating in this brew...oh that band, have you ever microwaved a CD? bhensonb (15188) - Woodland, California, USA - SEP 26, 2013
Tap at Capitol Beer in Sacramento, CA. Pours light golden amber with a whitish head. Fruit aroma. Med body. Flavor is lighter stone fruit or maybe citrus over very mild malt. Mild hop burn. Noticeable rye. Hop and rye spice build with time. Finishes dry and decently bitter. Excellent. DiarmaidBHK (4891) - Lewisburg, Pennsylvania, USA - SEP 21, 2013
Draft at taproom. Pours yellow and clear with a thick white head. Leaves a lot of sticky lacing. A bit of rye and pine on the nose. Can’t say I get a lot of rye on the tongue since the hops are so forward in their affections it would be considered sexual harassment in many precincts. Definielty get more of the rye on the finish. It’s a bit of a roller coaster but it’s not my favorite. Beerdrinker79 (2188) - Idaho, USA - SEP 20, 2013
22 oz bottle- Pours hazy pale golden with a two finger head that slowly reduces. Aroma is spicy hops, piney and sweet sticky malt. The taste is PCNW hops, piney and citrusy, resinous and oily, there is a balanced malt there, but it is light enough that this is all about the hops. The body is medium and coats the mouth, high carbonation. Nice IPA, I don’t really get why you have to take a "Trip" just to make a straight up IPA like this one!
