On tap at St. Augustine’s, pours a hay orange with a small white head. Aroma and flavour of caramel malt, resin, and a little rye. Pretty potent, with a rye and fruity finish. Solid stuff, but nothing very interesting. Oakes (17664) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - APR 14, 2014
Amber and hazy, bubbly head. Aroma is big chewy....rye, crystal, stale hop...unlike Elysian to give me stale hops. Fruity character with a slight papaya accent. Lots of chewy...again this seems more crystal than rye. brokensail (16449) - Dublin, California, USA - NOV 28, 2013
On tap @ Pour House Paso Robles. Hazy amber/orange pour with a white head. Sweet orange, caramel, and brown sugar on the nose. A touch of apricot and herbal, pine notes, too. Maybe a bit of vanilla. Flavor is sweet sugar and a touch of bitterness. Lots of orange peel, some herbs, pine, and caramel. A bit of apricot and vanilla. Mild oxidation and toasted bread. Okay. bhensonb (15190) - Woodland, California, USA - SEP 26, 2013
Tap at Capitol Beer in Sacramento, CA. Pours light golden amber with a whitish head. Fruit aroma. Med body. Flavor is lighter stone fruit or maybe citrus over very mild malt. Mild hop burn. Noticeable rye. Hop and rye spice build with time. Finishes dry and decently bitter. Excellent. Ratman197 (14830) - Arvada, Colorado, USA - SEP 10, 2013
On tap at Parrys Pizza poured a clear golden amber with a small lingering ivory head. Aromas of carmel, earthiness and citrus. Palate was light bodied and crisp with a dry finish. Flavors of bread, lemon zest and light earthiness with a crisp dry lingering lemon finish.

Bottle @ home picked up at Wilbur’s Foco. Pours a hazy yellow orange appearance with an off white head. Very spicy, dank resiny hoppy, mild pineapple, piney aroma. Spicy herbal, piney hoppy, light fruity, a bit chewy, spicy rye refreshing flavor. Cool beans. phaleslu (10247) - Cincinnati, Ohio, USA - AUG 28, 2013
Draft at New Belgium. Was labeled under the Lips of Faith on tap as "Trip 17-Rye IPA." Pours a bright, clear reddish amber with a small off-white head that leaves streaks and spots of lace. Notes of rye, herbs, pepper, citrus, and some subtle tartness, too. Some caramel malt to balance. Light-medium bodied, with a dry, smooth mouthfeel that ends dry, with a little spicy hop kick. Nice. marcus (10222) - Sacramento, California, USA - SEP 6, 2013
Bottle shared by Lisa from New Belgium at Capitol Beer. Pours dark blonde with a modest beige head and a citrus aroma. There is a medium-bodied caramel malt flavor with a bitter finish. Nicely hopped. arminjewell (9636) - East Lansing, Michigan, USA - JAN 3, 2014
Pour on tap at the brewery, hazy golden pour with white head, aroma brought notes of nice tropical fruit, orange, pineapple, hints of grapefruit into spice, rye, grass, nice biscuit, bready notes but it is all about the hops. Taste is a mix of tropical fruit, orange peel, pine, grass, slight mango into some caramel, hints of spicy notes, finishing fairly bitter. onceblind (9631) - Denver, Colorado, USA - DEC 1, 2013
Clear golden with a medium solid foamy head. Nose is a bit faint, with toast and light grassiness. Flavor is also light, with light grassy and lemon-rind bitterness, with a little toast and bready sweetness supporting it. Kinda boring.
