4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
thanks to cory for this one. pour was a dark brown, hints of reddish cherry. some white head that i can barely remember, must have dissipated quickly. sour brown ale, ripe cherry, and some sweet malt. very flanders or oud bruin. bit more complex flavor. still had that sour brown dominating base but there was a legit presence of cherry and a distinct barrel aging characteristic. seeing that this was aged in apple whiskey barrels, it makes sense. never picked up the coriander though. pretty full body, tart, and dry. this was good, probably one of the best NB beers i have had.
Aroma is wood, brett, and a bit of sourness. Taste is pretty much the same. Medium body, medium carbonation, and mild foam. StephTamiko (45) - Arizona, USA - AUG 9, 2015
Bottle pours cloudy burgundy with thin berry-tinged head. Lots of acidic berries and oak in aroma. Taste is also very acidic, oak, and berry forward. Apple whiskey flavor is faint. Very sour and tart, dry finish. Errl (2577) - Plano, Texas, USA - FEB 4, 2015
Bottle thanks to mora...Pour is pink with a white head..Nose is cherries, oak, spice, gueuze notes, soft apple whiskey notes..Taste is cherries, kriek, musty, funk, berries, yogurt...Mother of god Damico (3146) - Royersford, Pennsylvania, USA - DEC 13, 2014
Pours mostly unclear amber with a beige head. Aroma brings tart light fruity sweet yeast. Flavor brings cherry tart yeast smooth on the palate with big puckering notes at the end and the whiskey is present but balanced really well. b3shine (9257) - Indiana, USA - NOV 15, 2014
750 ml bottle to stemmed taster (shared by Dogbones). Looks good; a cloudy plum with very light caramel head that steadily dissipates into lacing. Smells good too; tart and funky with notes of cherry and oak, and some Flanders sweetness in the body. Tastes like it smells with a pleasantly lively medium-bodied mouthfeel. Great stuff that is holding up wonderfully.

Bottle 750ml. Thx Fuxxy.
Pours hazy brown with very low beige head. Minimal lacing. Aroma is of fruits, heavy acid, spices, berries. Taste is of acid, fruits, some wild yeast. Palate: Mouth puckering. Light-medium body. Medium carbonation. Overall: Very acid (a tad overdone). Fruits. czar (9601) - Québec, Quebec, CANADA - SEP 24, 2014
bottle shared by fux, many thanks! hazy/cloudy light burgundy with a small off-whtie head, some retention and lacing. very fruity - berries, cranberries, sweet peaches - overripened they are if not rotten - from apple whisky barrels perhaps, spicy peppery yeast, other bugs, citric acidity - slightly puckering, and ketchupy too, grass and herbs. bright carbonation, light body, relatively dry and citric tart grassy-spicy finish. perhaps past its prime. Bottle shared at a tasting. Hazy copper brown pour. Aroma is quite acetic, lots of ketchup, vinegar, cherries, earthy notes, some wood. Taste is acetic, quite sour, puckering. Palate is med bodied, thin carbonation. Pretty harsh stuff, drinkable but not very enjoyable. tom10101 (6297) - Quebec, CANADA - SEP 22, 2014
Bottle (750 ml). Shared by Fux, thanks! Hazy amber with a small white head and little lacing. Aroma is of red fruits, strong vinegar notes, ketchup, caramel, and oak. Taste is vinegar forward with red fruits, ketchup, caramel and oak. Medium body. Soft carbonation. Puckering finish. Lack of balance and depth. Too straightforward and way too acetic. I’m not sure this beer has ever been good, but if so it’s definitely not anymore. mathieuc (4000) - Québec, Quebec, CANADA - SEP 22, 2014
Bottle shared by Fux, thanks!! Pours a cloudy red with a medium white head that leaves good lacing. Nose is of red fruits for the most part but there is also some vinegar as well. Taste is pretty much only vinegar, a bit too much. Of course there was also some oak and more fruits, but at least I couldn’t feel the special barrels that they used. Carbonation was pretty high and body low to medium. Acidity is just over the top and I didn’t enjoy it as much as I wanted to. Just OK.
