This is a very nice IPA. Palate / aftertaste is much better than other IPAs that just try to set IBU records. Definitely towards the top of my IPA rankings. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Ar: Resin and garlic; orange and lemon pith; medium-light caramel, with a touch of toast. Ap: Clear golden orange; medium-small off-white head with low retention, leaving a broken curtain of lace on the glass sides and a cap of splotchy and nebulous foam. T: Bracing, bitter orange and grapefruit; caramel notes, with lots of pine and citrus rind; bitterness is quite tannic; tea leaves. P: Medium-light body with medium-high carbonation; finish is dry and astringent. O: There are some nice citrus and pine aromas and flavors, but the body and bitterness are just harsh.

Draft at Huszar Hungarian Bar in Pittsburgh. Smooth and creamy, not too heavy on hops. Pretty refreshing all around.

I like this better than the regular Ranger, which I think is kind of bad, honestly. This is a pretty down the middle IPA and not of poor quality. Its orange golden, nice and bright w/ a creamy head and lots of lace. Its nose isnt huge and is a bit more savory and piny in quality than I like but not bad overall. This is either dry or just loaded w/ enough resinous bitterness that it overrides all sweetness but Im okay w/ that personally. Its medium bodied, maybe a little oily and slick but doesnt feel overly heavy. I would call this the most memorable IPA exactly but it gets the job done reasonably well.

Pale gold with white head. Fresh hoppy scent with some pine. Taste is mildly hoppy, not overly so for an IPA. Body is light and finish is crisp.

From bottle its clear pale gold with an average-sized white head. Ar Oddly fruity nose that doesnt seem very hop-derived (smelling of lime leaf, watermelon rind, floral soap), extremely quiet in the nose and difficult to discern when cold. Theres a quiet green apple note that seems to blow off with time and warmth, but the aroma does not blossom. Medium bodied, bitter, juicy-oily, soft, finishing a little catty and alcoholic.
