Bottle sample at a tasting at kerenmk’s place. Thanks Tom L. Clear amber. Kinda oxidized aroma of malt, caramel, toast and a hoppy hint. Sweetish flavor, somewhat stale, with malt, a bit of toast, a bit of caramel and a mild hoppy (a bit earthy) bitterness. Medium-bodied. Frank (4194) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - DEC 23, 2014
I might call this more of an American amber but who cares because it’s terrible. It had an amber color with a short-lived head. Its nose is mild and malty and it tastes like unfermented wort and stainless steel. It’s sticky sweet and finishes bitter like a mouthful of turf grass. This is like some jackasses’s first homebrew kit. beerbill (3619) - Laurel, New York, USA - SEP 28, 2014
12 oz. bottle. Pours a lightly hazed amber that eventually clears with a moderate off-white head that lasted through the first two sips and left light lace. Indistinct aroma with a few scant notes of malt and caramel. The flavor is laden with overripe orange and caramel. I drank around half the glass and ended up dumping the rest. Not something I’d look to revisit anytime soon.
