Buzzed into this joint in Elwood for a tasting. Super dry crisp..like the dude that served it. Refined...yet pure country style. You can taste the Indiana in this bottle...its the well water...mineral rich with a light fruity cloud that rides you out with a grin that lets you experience the midwest from any part of the world.
Sampler at the New Day Bar (Indianapolis, IN). First visit. Great visit! Pours a nice glowing pinkish orange hue, gentle haziness, glow overall is impressive. Aromas are decent blueberry, touches of citrusy orange and lemon, some gentle pomegranate, honey, and mellow earth. A bit of heather, florals, and honey. Initial is lighter end of the fold, some tart and tannic blueberry, a touch pulpy. Gentle honey, earth, florals. Some gentle pomegranate, citrus, some gentle fruit presence. Middle is a bit tart, tannic, lemon and some grapefruit. Tartness and dry bitter quality. Backend shows some residual sweetness, honey and blueberry, bit of floral. Finish is tart, lemony, and dry. A bit of florals, earth, decent dryness throughout. Interesting, enjoyable, flows well. I enjoyed this one. LilBeerDoctor (3903) - Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA - JUN 22, 2013
On tap at the meadery. Pours a clear ruby red. Aroma of sweet fruit, herbal leaves. Flavor of sweet blueberry. Dry. Lots of berries in the flavor. Ok, not terribly interesting though.

Bottle to taster at New Day. Looks good; a still, transparent orangish copper. Smells solid; cherry, blueberry, and honey with a bit of spice. Tastes like it smells, minus the spice. Good on the palate with a nice, dry finish. Enjoyable. pantanap (3366) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - FEB 11, 2012
On tap at the source... Darker berry hued pour, minimal bubbles, slightly leggy... Aroma of softer blueberry and muddled honey, not clean... More of the same for flavor. Soft barely depictable honey with a moderate blueberry note. Pretty dry and not sweet as expected. Block (2688) - Indianapolis, Indiana, USA - JUN 26, 2011
I really liked this wine, especially for the contrast against some of the other New Day offerings. Lots of blueberry and darker fruits. Sweet and bold.

sweet honey blueberries. a bit of cough syrup. nice and dry. floral. good, but liked the peach, plum, and dry mead better. thedm (6143) - Fort Wayne, Indiana, USA - AUG 30, 2009
This bottled mead from the meadery poured a head of clear colored bubbles that left behind a transparent uncarbonated rose-brown colored body. The mouth feel was dry and soft. It has a nasal tingle and a soft start and a mildly vinous finish. The flavor semi-sweet softy harsh in the finish mildly acidic and dry. patrick767 (4063) - fort wayne, Indiana, USA - JAN 1, 2009
glass from the bottle at O’Donnell’s in Ft Wayne - Pours surprisingly red and has a mild aroma with floral and honey notes along with the alcohol. The floral honey flavor is dry and the blueberries are very subtle. I wouldn’t have known it was blueberries in a blind tasting. Actually I was debating if I’d have even known that fruit was added. Odd. It’s still pretty good though. jsquire (4420) - St. Marys, Ohio, USA - AUG 31, 2008
Out of a bottle at the meadery. Attractive garnet red color and still. The alcohol dominated the nose in this one. Dry, fruity tartness that I wouldn’t have identified as blueberries without the name. Lots of floral honey notes and naticable alcohol.
