A best of class golden ale. Aroma is initial barnyard, then settles down to yeasty. Very smooth, tasty, and drinkable. Lace map. j12601 (11671) - Poughkeepsie, New York, USA - DEC 23, 2014
Can. Pours a lightly hazed gold with a fairly large white head. A little bit of hops on the nose, dusty grain, musky yeast. Medium bodied, incredibly smooth. Nice clean mouthfeel. Gentle crackery grains with some soft wheat and light bitterness into the finish. Easy drinking and quite sessionable. deyholla (11598) - Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA - APR 27, 2011
On tap at Ginger Man Norwalk. Poured a hazy yellow with an orange hue and a white head that dissipated slowly and laced slightly. Aroma was sweet with grain and light fruits and had a backing of light citrus and grassy hops. Flavor was similar with a sweet start and the hops coming out a bit with a bit of dryness in the finish. Somewhat heavy carbonation. daknole (11049) - Scottsdale, Arizona, USA - MAY 18, 2011
Cloudy yellowish/orange pour with a creamy white head. Yeast, coriander, orange, honeycomb aroma. Flavor is full of yeast, coriander, mandarin oranges, yeast, honey. Good. DocLock (10683) - Lower Pottsgrove, Pennsylvania, USA - AUG 2, 2013
Can shared at Craft Ale. Pours turbid gold with floral, spicy, funky, hoppy, white pepper notes in the olfactory and papillarae senses. Finishes complex, and we pegged it as similar to a Bier de Garde. Tasty and thanks for the share, Brooke.

Can. Deep, cloudy orange, lace. Malty, fruity nose, biscuits, oranges. Very fruity and malty, though dry. Nice fruits, estery, with a dry finish, and full body. phaleslu (10247) - Cincinnati, Ohio, USA - JUN 29, 2014
Can shared by DrSilverworm - thanks again, Chris! Pours a hazy, pale yellow-gold with a small white head. The aroma is very malty - crackers, bread, pale, cereal, sourdough - with straw and pears. Flavor of sweet cereal and bready malts, dried apricot, golden raisins, pear, and vanilla. A hint of pepper. Medium-bodied, with moderate to medium carbonation and a malty mouthfeel. Good, malty Belgian. Like a tripel. sebletitje (10080) - Enghien, BELGIUM - AUG 29, 2010
Wash. DC tasting.
Up the Irons on this one ... every Maiden’s dream come true with this classic song.
Pours orange, white head.
aroma is malty, Belgian dubbel abbey style yeast with some lingering hops adding a mild bitter finish, light candi sugar complementing the mild caramel malt approach.
Overall, good beer, I’d buy it just for the can design. \m/ DrSilverworm (9671) - Cincinnati, Ohio, USA - JUN 16, 2014
12oz can... Thanks to Mike L. for this one! Shared with caterwaul and phaleslu. Hazy orange golden color. Thin off-white head. Leaves good bits of lace. Medium to bigger body. Smooth, crisp, lighter carbonation. Some good pear, vanilla flavors. Moderate sweet taste. Very lightly spicy. Some moderate bitterness. Interesting, unusual stuff. Solid, interesting belgian strong! Stange, unusual.. But better than expected. Looking at the can, I see that it’s brewed with some pilsner malts, and I see that now.. Works well. A nice light pepperiness to it. blipp (9268) - La Mesa, California, USA - JUL 10, 2013
Can. Pours hazy golden orange with a white head. Fruity and light yeasty, hints of spices, light peach, and a nice dry floral hoppy finish. Pretty good.
