Named after New Havens nickname: the Elm City (but not to be confused with Elm City Connecticut Ale!) It is a true German Pilsner: crisp, refreshing, pronounced. Perfectly balanced pilsner malt made with all German ingredients and Hallertaur hops. It is a perfect compliment to a hot summers day! Its definitely not your grandfathers beer, but its what your grandfathers beer was trying to be. A must have!!

12oz can. Light straw colored body, dish soap looking off white head. Body is pretty cloudy. Head is 1 finger thick and somewhat lasting. Spotty, drip lacing. Nose of soap, grain, light citrus, wheat, grass and cardboard. Flavor brings some light hops into play, but not much at all. Watery body, medium astringency. Slick mouthfeel. Finishes with wet grains, some hops and grass. Medium length, fades to a watery ending. Below average.

The aroma is corn malt and very little hops. The appearance is gold with an average head. The flavor is like the aroma. The palate is thin. This was a good attempt at a lager but its still not very good.

Feels a bit thin, the hops and malts seem inatiquate, This is doesnt feel like a pilsener its more like a attempt that someone couldnt quite figure out.

Can. Pours a slightly hazy pale golden with a one finger white head that fades and leaves some lacing. Aroma of pilsner malt and light floral hops. Taste is the same as aroma. Medium thin mouthfeel with a mild amount of bitterness. Good.

Light golden body. Large, fluffy white head with decent retention. Decent amount of sheet lacing. The first whiff is a real letdown. Corny, grainy malts with syrupy, sugary sweetness. Very little in the form of discernible hops on the nose. Light floral scents. The flavor isnt much better. Theres a cheap tasting, syrupy corn malt base with mild floral hops and a faint spiciness. Very dry and grainy tasting. Watery body. Bitter finish. Looks, smells, and tastes pretty much like your standard, run-of-the-mill, macro pale lager.

12 oz can from Westmere Beverage in Albany. Light golden in color. Aroma is musty grains, DMS, not very nice. Taste is similar with cooked corn/vegetal and grainy. very little hop bitterness with a light, watery body.

Decided to try the pilsener, which isnt my favorite style but I like this one more than most. Refreshing taste, not much aroma. Good to drink after hard work outside.

Good classic pils aromas, sweet malts with spicy hallertaur hops. Pours light blonde with a huge white head. Good malts flavor up front, some hints of cereal flavors, but very good malts flavor. Then the hallertaur comes through, spicy and bitter, with a good crisp finish! this is a pretty good pils!
