Named after New Haven’s nickname: the Elm City (but not to be confused with Elm City Connecticut Ale!) It is a true German Pilsner: crisp, refreshing, pronounced. Perfectly balanced pilsner malt made with all German ingredients and Hallertaur hops. It is a perfect compliment to a hot summer’s day! It’s definitely not your grandfather’s beer, but it’s what your grandfather’s beer was trying to be. A must have!!

Decided to try the pilsener, which isn’t my favorite style but I like this one more than most. Refreshing taste, not much aroma. Good to drink after hard work outside.

Good classic pils aromas, sweet malts with spicy hallertaur hops. Pours light blonde with a huge white head. Good malts flavor up front, some hints of cereal flavors, but very good malts flavor. Then the hallertaur comes through, spicy and bitter, with a good crisp finish! this is a pretty good pils!

Can. Pours a clear pale yellow-gold with an average size diminishing white head. Aroma and flavour of grassy hops, caramel malt, grain and a hint of slightly tart citrus. Average bitter finish. Medium bodied. Meh, it’s alright, a decent Lager...I guess.

12 oz can from alldaydrinker! Thanks! nose of grassy grainwith light backgound hops; lightly hazy gold with a big white head; flavor of citrus and light hop bitterness along with some graininess. Would be a great session beer if i lived in CT and could but it!

Thanks to the fine mystery swappers for this one!! Pours golden in color from my nice green and silver can, and formed a sizeable white head. Smell is crisp, some wheat smells. Taste is a little on the lemon side, with a hint of wheat on the background. This one is alright.

Can. Firm white head on the pour. Not much aroma, maybe just a little corn and grain, but the flavor is very refreshing and sessionable. Crisp and balanced, with nice saaz and pure pale malt flavors.

This is undoubtedly the best beer I have ever had from a can. Crisp, with some hoppy bitterness. Really tastes like a pilsener, although it isn’t the best one I’ve had. The malt does have a bit of that macro taste, with the macro-sourness, but the hops are good, and the malt flavor could be a lot worse.

UPDATED: NOV 21, 2007 Pours a clear dull gold with a thin lasting white head, and somce lace. Aroma is lots of gritty corn and some dms, pale malts and stale pils, sweet kettle corn aroma as well. Bland flavor, more corn, stale malts, some paper, slick hops, and a wierd finish. Perhaps a bit old. Meh.

Strong hay aroma. Pour is golden with a thick white head. Tastes of honey and hops, more of the latter. Grass finish.

Grainy/grassy aroma with a hint of citrus, surprisingly complex for a lager. Flavor almost has a hint of lemon grass.
