Bottle at North River. Pours a hazed brown with a thin tan head. Soft wood and a hint of red wine and wood on the nose. Sweet plum and prune, old raisins. Medium bodied, soft sticky malt, raisin, slow and malty. Slow malt, warm and malty, a bit of raisins. Very light alcohol. Pretty drinkable.

Bottle via a cool bro in law a couple years ago. Finally got to this one. Pour was dark brown and not that murkey, thin off white head, not much lacing. Mouthfeel was also light but had a sort of zing in finish, still a tad hot???! Aroma of dark fruits, brown sugar and caramel. Worried! Flavor though was awesome and plummy with molasses and dark fruits. Lacking bready and yeasty. A poor man’s Roche 10 in many ways. Beerathon (1683) - Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, USA - FEB 4, 2015
Chestnut in color, a bit murky, with no head. There’s a head at pour, but dissipates almost instantly. Aroma is booze and some dark fruits (raisin, prune). Flavor is far too boozy, as it seems to be the concentration. Mouth feel is thin and finish is a bit harsh. Extremely disappointing Quad. Not horrible, but far from good. 500 ml bottle purchased at One Stop Market Haverhill, MA. No bottle date or ABV marked on the bottle. Deep Crimson ruby color, no head. Aroma of candy sugar, dried fruits, Belgian yeast and note of chocolate. Flavor is right on point with the aroma and very good. Don’t know the age of the bottle (sat in cellar for about a year) no alcohol flavor at all, very smooth after the sip. Not the most complex in the style but it is well crafted with all the proper flavors. Worth a sample for sure. drfabulous (8104) - Lexington, Kentucky, USA - AUG 31, 2014
From tasting. Nicely done quad with fruity and light malt notes. Finishes with a taste of dried fruit.

Murky brown pour with a hint of purple to it. Foamed a but out of the bottle, but head is small. High alcohol equals low retention. A little estery aroma of fruits and candy. Flavor Is lots of dark fruit with good acidity. Grape, plum, cherry. Some caramel and sharp spicy esters. Mouthfeel is moderate, light for the style. Reminds me of trois pistoles. NEBCO does not disappoint. Drake (13954) - Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA - MAR 10, 2014
I gotta tell a story about these guys. I stopped by, and they only had one beer on tap, which I had already tried. While that was an awesome beer, and I had no problem with that being the only option, pull this bottle, unlabeled, out of a case, stuck on a label and sold it to me for four bucks. They also marked down a second bottle, so I walk out of there with two quality beers in large formats for $8. They didn’t have to do that, and they did. Massive karma to those guys. So, well, bottle from the brewery. About 18 months on it. Pours a dark rust-brown color with a thin head that quickly fades. Aroma of dark fruits, brown sugar, mild chocolate. The taste is dark fruits, citrus, toffee malts, mild bread and spice. Medium bodied, alcohol is prickly but not hot, low carbonation, no oxidation. Solid quad that has aged pretty well. Bottle. From trade. Nose of burnt sugar and fruit. A little dark chocolate. Taste is a little bitter and kind of lacking compared to the nose. Still very DrewFace (969) - Melbourne, Florida, USA - FEB 27, 2014
Bottle share thanks to Homer321. murky brownish color. Huge dark fruit aroma, plums. Much of the same in the flavor, big dark fruit character, sweet, caramel, yumm...more yumm. HeadyDE (851) - Delaware, USA - JAN 3, 2014
Dark brown rum like color..nose is vanilla bourbon laden with obvious raisin..sweet malt base..toasted almond..nose is the best part here..mouthfeel is a bit of a let down and thin..slight cider qualities..no feel of the abv..has a buttered rum profile..finishes fairly dry and by the end of the bottle the abv is felt..not bad..however probably my least favorite by nebco that I have tried..
