12floz can, dated 11.02.2017 (me thinks COD, but could be BBD), thx dwirks89, pint glass. Appears a deep gold color, because of haze. Head is there, sticky as expected for an IPA. Aroma is like sniffing pellet hops. I can taste the hops through and through. It's like tasting a summer forest so to speak...Nah, that's all review language for tasting like hops smell - to be more descriptive: grassy and like green limbs/branches/stems of trees and shrubs. Mouthfeel is good, bitterness is rather mild, and there is a bit of a metallic twang that increases during this drinking experience. Fair. This is a very fine beer. It's taste is amazing with a smell of something like a fine bud. I need a six pack. I first tried this on tap at Bobby V's in Windsor Locks, CT. I went on too win three horse races in two days sipping on this kind brew. jonas (8278) - Garching close to the monks, GERMANY - OCT 4, 2017
Backlog rating from RBESG 2008, grand tasting: Amber, creamy head. Salty hop nose. Dusty flavor, a bit grass, herbs, citric aftertaste. AirForceHops (8026) - Epping, New Hampshire, USA - SEP 26, 2017
12 oz. can and a fresh 32 oz. growler from the source compared side-by-side. I understand so many low ratings for this IPA. It really doesn’t sit well in the can. Notes are just from the growler example. Aroma was mild pine but not particularly distinct. Taste has some caramel and toffee backbone and bready malts. Hop profile is pine, floral, grapefruit and very old school. Body was pretty average. Overall, a pretty standard IPA from start to finish. My suggestion is go draft or growler fill only on this one. meccahh69lol (366) - New Haven, Connecticut, USA - JUN 15, 2017
Here we have the venerable flagship of local heros, Nebco, and it is pretty good, but not among their best (its not baby ducks!). It pours a darker than expected amber gold with some cloudiness. It has a fairly typical aroma of wet grass and citrus. The taste is a smooth easy drinking hop fizz with a slight malty finish that lingers long. It’s often the best beer in places with crappy selections around here so it serves a valuable community service in helping you avoid macrobrew trash. Good for (historically) first dinner dates with your sexy new love and (presently) figuring out what you’re gonna do the night before your epic Vermont beer weekend while blaring some black metal of course.

Pours golden orange with a small to medium white head. Aroma is citrus, pine an caramel..balanced all around. Taste is moderate bitters with some acidic tartness. Medium bodied, slick with some stickiness on the finish. Beerman6686 (6611) - Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA - OCT 28, 2016
I cant belive this is just cascade and noble hoos. Very bright citrust hips, light caramel backbone. Old school, but I wouldnt mind drinking this all day. Onslow (1539) - Kalamazoo, Michigan, USA - OCT 9, 2016
Pour from a 12oz can. medium amber brew with creamy white head. great lacing. Aroma is crisp citrus with strong grapefruit notes. Taste is moderate malt up front with resin and citrus kicking in quickly. Transitions to a very citrusy end. Crisp, clean with excellent character. First rate IPA. On tap at Rizzuto’s in Bethel, CT. Dark gold color with a thin head. Great cling and good head retention. Pine needles and bitter citrus aroma. Flavors are toffee, pine, bitter citrus and stone fruits and biscuit. Slightly sticky mouthfeel, but otherwise clean and crisp. Nicely balanced. This is not an over-the-top hop bomb. Well made and very enjoyable IPA.
