COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Apple Ale sings with the fresh crisp taste of Wisconsin Apples. Our brewmaster begins with a brown ale base employing Wisconsin farmed wheat and a blend of Cortland, MacIntosh and Jonathan apples. Our apple growing friends squeeze them especially for this brew. Expect this ale to pour a beautiful copper color. The fresh bouquet of Apple will rise to meet you even before the glass touches your lips.

UPDATED: OCT 22, 2004 Slightly chill hazed orange body, effervescent, dissipating head. Delicate white wine, apple aroma, incredible apple flavor. Velvety mouthfeel with a very fine, natural feeling carbonation. I was actually a little surprised to find no sediment. Lacks the complexity of the Belgian Red, but this is unbelievably delicious stuff and a great pleasure to drink. I will undoubtedly spend the next several apple seasons trying to homebrew this stuff.

Sweet, tangy aroma, and cloudy red pour with an off-white head. Sticky, sweet body. Flavor is full of apple with a sour finish.

Delicious fresh apples liquified with alcohol. Thick coppery cider beverage with creamy texture and lots of fresh apple potancy. A little sweet and hints of cinnamon too. Manages to avoid being sickly syrupy while coating your mouth with malty sweetness. Very tasty.

Been waiting a very long time to try this one. My next door neighbor brought me some back from Wisconsin. Dark Apple Cider looking beverage. Tons of apple and sweet caramel flavoring. You can actually taste the raw apple flavor in this beer!!! Fantastic freaking beer. Theres nothing wrong with an excellent Fruit Beer, this is the best Ive had. Another cant miss product from New Glarus. Those who dont enjoy this style are really missing out. Nice sweet apple finish. Is exactly what it says it is.

Bottle from RooftopRogue, thanks Rob. Ive been wanting to get my hands on a bottle of this for a while and it was worth the wait. Smells like apple cider, tastes like apple cider but with just enough malt to distinguish itself as a beer. Crisp, sweet finish. Another excellent fruit beer from NG.

Clear dark golden with a filmy head, high visible carbonation and no lacing. Aroma of apples, cider, spices and some pale malts. Flavor is apples, cider, cinnamon and pale malts. Light body and mild-moderate carbonation. So tasty!

12oz bottle from a trade with Atom: Clear orange copper color with a nice fluffy head. Aromas of tart apples and caramel, some breadyness, kind of reminds me of apple pie. I started to get the aroma as soon as I poured it. Taste of sweet caramel malts with a tart apple fruityness. The taste is very natural and not artificial. Dry finish. Great full mouth feel without being heavy I could drink a lot of the beer and still enjoy. I hope to get more someday.

Outstanding apple ale. Juicy apples dominate the aroma and the sharp, snappy finish, yet in between is the sweetness of the wheat and full body of the brown ale -- very different and welcomed in a fruit beer. Enjoyed from an October 2014 bottle (still great after nine months in the beer fridge).

Clear, golden amber color, off-white head. Musty aroma of apple, dough, and bread malt. A nice blend of tart and sweet flavors. Lively and crisp, very light in body, and a clean finish.
