UPDATED: MAR 15, 2013 Bottle from StFun -- many thanks! I’ve been dying to try this for a while. It means a lot to me. To snifter it pours a clear, darkish orange with a quickly-diminishing off-white head. Tastes and smell of apple cores, refined sugar, Belgian and American yeasts, cranberry sauce, and sweet malts. Refreshingly tart. Thought it’d be stickier altogether: shows how much I know. KyotoLefty (10311) - Kyoto, JAPAN - APR 1, 2013
Bottled. Nose of sweet apples, caramel covered. Brown with lace. Sweet apple flavors, ginger ale, nice tartness. Very tasty and interesting.

All apple all the time. champagne bubbles and a strong fruity feel. No lingering aftertaste. Light body and feels bubbly all the way through. jbrana (640) - NASHVILLE, Tennessee, USA - JAN 10, 2014
Tastes like sparkling apple juice. Good balance of sweet and tart. Very good.

Bottle from Chase... thanks! Slightly cloudy copper color with short lasting white head. Very nice apple cider aroma. Lively mouthfeel, with an nice apple tartness. Balances nicely between tart green apple and sweet cider.

Red-orange-gold, clear, almost no head. Very appley, sweet nose. Crisp slight bitterness, predominantly sweet. Tailing bit of sourness. Effervescent, quite carbonated, a little acidic. Finishes a little drier than it starts. Quite light body. Not terribly complex, pretty mild, but enjoyable.

Decent beer, much less sweet than the crappy cider we get around here but still over sweet for my taste. Quite well done though, the flavor is authentic and the aroma is quite nice. Carlisle (767) - Pennsylvania, USA - NOV 28, 2014
Draft. Reddish-cooper color. Apple aroma. Strong apple flavors.

New Glarus Apple Ale has a thin, white head, a semi-clear, amber appearance, no bubbles and almost no lacing left behind. The aroma is of strong, sweet & sour apple aroma, caramel, and candied malt. Taste is of those elements with citrus and cream cheese. Mouthfeel is light to medium, and New Glarus Apple Ale finishes tart and drinkable. RJT IndianaRed (4781) - Boise, Idaho, USA - OCT 12, 2004
UPDATED: OCT 13, 2004 Bottle Pours a rather dark amber with very little off-white head that dissipated quickly to a thin white ring. Spotty lacing. Aroma is a nice woody cider note. Flavor is much sweeter than I expected or even hoped. At first, seemed more like apple juice than beer. Like a Jolly Rancher but not as sour or tart which I would have appreciated. As far a s fruit ber, it dow\es not hold a candle to the Red or Tart that NG offers. Tasty and sweet. My wife loves it. I guess that says it. ABV is maybe .5% ? As I continue to sip this, it starts to take on a cough drop mediciny hint.
Thanks to MrFacto again for another NG offering.
