12 ounce bottle courtesy of bertram. Thanks! 3700th rating. Woot! Pours a clear brownish red color with a creamy tan head. Good head retention and lacing. Aroma of caramel, toasted malts, banana and a faint bit of chocolate. The taste is toasted malts, banana, cherries, pineapple, grapes, plum, caramel and just the faintest touch of burnt sugar. Medium bodied and quite creamy in texture. Very nice... these guys sure know how to make a lager. crossovert (13914) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - MAR 13, 2011
It pours a dark brown color with orangeish hues, the head is fluffy and off-white.
It smells honkytonkin fresh, and I’ve never had a bock this fresh so it is an experience. It has a nice subtle but noticeable hop character along with some fruitiness and nuttiness.
The flavor is pretty good, it is light and malty, with a hint of fruitiness and a little hop bite in the finish. It has a slightly cloying character in the finish as well.
Overall it is a solid beer, better than other "Wisconsin bocks"
